MOD POST:
So, after weirdlanders posted an answer regarding dragons who were kind to her in Warfang, I decided to introduce my first dragon-y steps into the Skylanders fandom.
A long time ago, I made an Earth Dragon. Gaea was first pitched as a friend to Feuriah, in the original The Legend of Spyro universe.
Because I myself understand the hardships of being picked on and bullied when I was a child, my heart went out to Feuriah, who I found out through her creator would happen in abundance, I created this gal. Gaea and Feuriah share a close bond as children, teenagers, and after that, I’m not too sure. I’d like to say that Gaea will always call Feuriah her good friend, and in fact, saves her daughter from an untimely death.
In the Skylanders Universe, it’s just as The Lost Queen tells it. When they were younger, and before she became evil, Gaea and Feuriah were friends. Gaea witnessed Feuriah tear down Warfang, after years of being subjected to the verbal, physical, and emotional abuse at the hands and claws of its citizens. While she tried to protect her friend when they were younger, she could only do so much, and could not be there by her side all of the time.
Gaea felt somewhat to blame for some of the abuse, as she herself was born ‘deformed.’ The red glove on her forepaw is actually a prothstetic, made of magic stone that she can shape at her will. She felt that because she was a target, and most of the time could be found with the the future Lost Queen, the abuse would only be doubled. It is this, in part, that leads her to never seek out vengeance against The Lost Queen in later years, as well as a deep fondness for her old friend.
On the Shimmering Isles, she is careful to tell the younger ones that while they have the potential to be dangerous, The Kurosians are not demonic beings. More, a race of dragons who lead a more violent lifestyle, who have potential that not even the great scholars of old could pen down. She is deeply saddened when eventually she hears news that the Kurosians were wiped out, all but one: The Lost Queen. Perhaps one day she might try to leave The Shimmering Isles to speak to her, and reconcile the past, but that is uncertain.
I’m giving consideration to making Gaea a guest-star on this blog. Or perhaps making her a separate blog all her own. For now, I’ll tentatively say that yes, she will be a guest-star on this blog.
So there you have it! Gaea is indeed my character, as well as Majidah/The Djinn/Koof.
