Kuros Adopts – Tomorrow!

WELP, I ended up going back after that ask and plowing thru the rest of the breeds, so now they’re all ready to be posted up and adopted out! However, to be fair, I’m giving a day’s heads up before posting them. I’m also going to give out the time of when to expect to see them go up, as well as the rules and details. As of now, the adoptions will be handed out on my DeviantArt.

So far, this is how adopting one of the designs will go. If you have ANY questions, ideas, etc, feel free to send in an ask 😀 Keep in mind, these will not be the last adopts! My plan might be that I won’t be doing two of every breed again, since it took so long to do, and I may do 2-4 of one breed every month or so. I’ve debated on possibly selling them for dA points (though, not for much) for me to donate said points to a raffle winner, as well as do other raffles to receive either said points and or receive a free design.

Again, my main reason for doing these is to provide peeps with their own Kuros OCs. I’m not looking to make a profit off of them. They DO take a lot of work designing as well as take time to do though, lawdy @3@

Rules and Details

  • Only one kuros per person. 
  • All adoptables gender, sex, element and names can be changed. Once adopted, I will note the owner a reference to be posted which will have the Kuros’ color circles and name if a name has been picked out. Reference sheets like this one can be commissioned for $25-40.
  • I can create a bio for each character if desired as well (at no extra cost).
  • Even though these Kuros are being adopted, the Kuros species and original design must still be credited to me, Weird Hyenas. Do not claim ownership of the Kuros species or that you designed the dragon yourself! The designs may NOT be resold for profit of any kind. 

Right now, the plan is that I will post these 10 adoptable Kuros on my DeviantArt on July 31st, 6pm Pacific Time. It will be first come, first serve.

To Weird: How are those Kuros adoptables coming along? Even if I can’t purchase one I always check out the blog for new characters. Your designs are just gorgeous and I love seeing what you come up with.

OOC : aw thank you so much hon! I have five of them finished, yet I got a design block halfway threw designing the female Yinvaht adopt. I wanted to have a male and female of every breed so people had a choice of their personal favorite breed, but lawdy I didn’t expect them to take this long! I’m so sorries ;3; 

HOWEVER, I only have one commission left to finish. I had decided to take a wee break before accepting more forms. Now that I won’t be accepting new commissions until August 7th, I’m giving myself some freetime to do personal work. That does include finishing up the adopts to give out for free, working on “Apple of his Eye”, as well as work on asks and continuing Feuriah’s Dawn (not in comic form, if people haven’t seen my post/rant on DeviantArt already!). So I’d expect those adopts to be out sometime next week! 😀

Still not too sure how to go about giving them out fairly, I appreciate everybody who suggested ways! Hopefully I’ll figure out a fair way, I’ll be sure to explain how the adopts will be handed out before they’re released ;3;

the last two are a commission from Weird of Voteil in both his normal and shadow form. Tried to make them the same size, sorry if anything is off x-x I’m not good at drawing skulls.

When Cynder finds herself in a dream, she is shocked to find her brother’s spirit waiting for her. Yet this reunion is not a happy one as Voteil uneasily reveals that she is there to meet someone. Someone who can either answer forgotten secrets to Kurosia’s fall, or haunt her nightmares for the rest of her days…

I had another comic idea in mind, but when I received this ask I found that I couldn’t find a way to answer with a single or handfuls of panels. So, I decided that it would be a great mini comic 😀

I’ve been sketching pages for about a month now between commissions and other asks, and so far there are five pages. I’m estimating around possibly 10 or more! I’m very much excited to do this comic, as it’s canon in both Weirdlanders AND the Feuriah’s Dawn universe that Cynder was never to meet her father alive. Especially with the events of Weirdlanders, I wonder how Kurogh will take to his banished daughter >;D

After buying and playing Skylanders for a few days, I have to say that it has truly warmed my heart and makes me feel like a kid again. The level of immersion it gives you is unlike any game I’ve ever seen. You, the player, are made to feel like a part of the adventure. The way the game presents itself, with you as a “Portal Master” that can put these figures on a portal to awaken them and send them to fight in another world, really does make you feel as though these toys are alive. The game I got, Trap Team, ups the immersion even moreso with the trap on the portal. You can trap villains, hear them going from your TV’s speakers to the speaker on the portal. While they’re there in standby, they’ll react to things that happen in the game and speak to you through the speaker on the portal. And when you’re ready to summon them, you can once again hear them going from the portal to the TV.

So you really begin to feel that you are connected to the world on the screen. I know, Skylanders at its core is a big attempt to sell you a ton of physical DLC. But if you can get past that cynical viewpoint… I know it sounds cliche, but it really does feel kinda magical.
