OOC : I have the voices listed in the character bios, but honestly, the bios need some serious touching up. xD
Feuriah / The Lost Queen : I’m kind of at a crossroads with her voice. On one hand, I see Donna Murphy , but I love Cate Blanchett
’s voice too since she has the perfect accent that Feur has. I’m leaning more towards Cate’s for when Feur’s calm and collected, while Donna would be perfect for the menacing, evil Feur. Her singing voice is this.
Hysteria (child) – Hysteria was heavily inspired by Darla Dimple from Cats Don’t Dance. Of course, when I first started designing her, I wanted to go for the trope of ‘little cutsie kid that’s actually evil’, which there’s a ton of examples of like Baby Doll from Batman : The Animated Series. However when trying to think of her voice, none of the other characters that follow the same trope actually fit, and I went thru many. Either they played up the cuteness way too much, or had accents that Hysteria just wouldn’t have. I ended up just settling with the same voice actress of Darla, because that gal could do the ‘pretend to be cute’ voice, menacing regular voice, and jesus she had a POWERFUL singing voice that Hysteria would have.
Hysteria (adult) – The night I was designing Hysteria (which I was somewhat designing her adult form at the same time), my favorite band Delain released their CD “The Human Contradiction”. The very first song on that CD not only made me decide Charlotte Wessels, the lead singer, would be her adult voice, but that song inspired me to give Hiss vulture minions. The song’s called “Here Come The Vultures”.
Havok (child) –
Anthony Ghannam (Ronno’s voice), though this voice change if I found another voice.
Havok (Adult) – No speaking voice as been picked for Hov, there’s been MANY candidates but none that fits him just yet. This post lists a couple that are some good suggestions, but don’t quite hit what I have in mind. Havok is really tough to find the right voice, because he has a deep but smooth speaking voice that always has a sort of reverb to it. He has a slight irish accent due to his ability to speak Kurosian, which is very irish sounding. When he’s mad or doing his thing as a villain, that reverb gets kicked up into a booming, growling tone.
His singing voice is waaaaaaaay lighter, like the deep dragon-y reverb disappears and instead of having a gruff singers voice, he goes all boy-band.
Aleksander Vinter/Savant “Make Up Your Mind”, so far, is the best example. ((ehehehe and that song is perfect for Hov’s new canon ship ;D )). Another good example is MAX “Gibberish” (love that song except for the chorus and guest ‘singer’ -_-)
Voteil –
Cynder – I go with the Eternal Night voice for Cynder, not too big a fan of the DotD voice x,D
