OOC : For LoS/Skylanders lore, they started out as regular anthro animals. The Curse specifically gives them near immortal life (they can have an arm ripped off, but it’ll grow back, and they live until they’re killed), as well as an even more beastly form. The only way to truly hurt them is to use silver, or cursed attacks. Like with Niko’s eye, the Yehkshir can use certain attacks that can leave creatures forever scarred (like a special ability or charged up attack). The Curse makes them werebeasts, wereas before they were just anthro creatures.
Their original characters were more traditional werewolves and ‘yena. They all had human forms, and the ‘Alpha’ wolf breed were more specifically weres born from two werecreatures. They were the only ones who could bite a non-were, inject venom into them, and make them lesser werewolves that could lose themselves during the full moon if their alpha wasn’t strong enough to control them.
