I find the whole “Portal Masters being originally the baddest baddies ever” thing interesting. I kinda thought of a cool idea that when portal masters got banished to earth, they learned their lesson and decided to try and keep the balance, but with some wanting to cling to their old ways and becoming the dark portal masters

OOC : Ha! Yeee the whole lore kind of thing for WL is that the humans banished from Skylands were sent to earth, making them lose their abilities. The idea of magic and dragons fascinates humans from their earliest days, as it was something they lost and were banished by (why so many cultures have dragons in them, ideas of demons which were beasts from Kurosia, and of course magic). It always made me curious why there weren’t a ton of humans in the Skylanders games (something I much prefer, dragons and creatures are a million times more interesting to me xD) so that’s what I came up with for WL.

THOUGH in original Kurosia lore, the Gods just wiped them out instead of sending some away. There are small amounts of humans still in the world Kurosia is set in, but they’ve learned the hard way to stay very, VERY clear of the Kurosian Mountains. And, of course, to never battle a Kuros if they see one, otherwise a curse would befall them and the Kuros would come to wipe out their kingdom or village.
