Weird, I am conflicted. My little group is developing a Skylanders fan comic on our own and we want to post the art but we want to wait till we’re 18 before we post it (2-3 years). I don’t know if I’ll still be interested or motivated to make or continue the comic when that time comes. What should I do? (Thank you for inspiring us with your Skylanders art so we could at least start our own)

Oh? Why would you have to wait to post it? I mean, unless it’s like NSFW which… yeah no, don’t post that 8,D nor should underage artists actively participate in NSFW content but I won’t go on a long rant about that here.

I won’t just assume it’s NSFW to answer the question! If your interest changes; it changes. Never force yourself to work on something you don’t feel like working on unless it’s a commission or for a job. That’s a main reason why I ended FD; i just wasn’t interested in it anymore, and I had moved onto other things. That’s totally normal and is nothing to feel bad about. If anything, if you still like the original idea, by then it would have evolved and possibly changed for the better! I’ve been developing the Kuros for like, 3-4 years (at least more seriously, technically the Kuros were created like, almost a decade ago when I first started making FD).

Don’t feel like you’re stuck with an idea, think on it and let it grow. Make AUs, challenge the story to see what it could evolve into. So by the time you CAN post it, it’ll be years better than it was before. Even if it means redrawing it, redoing stuff, it’s okay to do that. It’s okay to draw up a thing, then years later scrap it and do it better. I do that with WL ALL the time 8,D
