Oh yee, typical Kurosian courtship only counts with Kuros, as they have to fight to prove themselves so they’re properly paired for breeding contracts. For hybrids, it’s a different ball game as it’s usually more of an alliance pact. The allied species still have to be high ranking themselves, so it’s not like a commoner can get a breeding contract with a Kuros.
The Umbracorns probably have more slack as they breed so well with Kuros, and their offspring are so useful, the lower ranks can get contracts easier than any other allied species.
