Actually no, he didn’t. But he respected her, and for him, respect was very, very hard to come by. So when he and Athrenna fought to become married, and he couldn’t beat her, he gained a wealth of respect for her. Burdohk asked her if he could have her feathers attached to his horn because to him, having something of her decorating him would honor him. Athrenna found this really odd at first, but as the decades rolled by at his side she got to understand him a lot more.
Burdohk was probably the most asexual character I have lmao x,D Besides Hiss, close second though. And Ea’Gann…..okay maybe I have more than I original thought but ANYWHOO He didn’t feel attraction or love, even for his own children, instead he was driven to see his bloodline become something worth honoring for generations. His family, then eventually, his people when he became King. He was strict and nearly emotionless, unless he respected you in some way. Athrenna was probably on the top of the list, knowing him the most personal than any dragon before her. While she didn’t love him back, she considered him a close, personal friend. Losing him took a great deal out of Athrenna ;3;
