AHAHHAA YUP! Actually had this canon since day one 8,D It’s a false Kuros pretty much, when darkness infects it can turn good guys evil like a disease. Eventually killing them, but if one has a strong enough will and a open enough heart, they can stop the disease from killing them and driving them mad. Instead, manipulating the darkness to their advantage. While it gives them the appearance of a Kuros and dark gifts, it doesn’t turn their bones into Kuronium. That’s a Kuros-only thang baybay ;D And false Kuros can’t manipulate the darkness as naturally as Kuros can.
Spyro often switches into that form to enrage the Queen. A near sure-fire way to anger her to the point of fury mode, when she’s thinking more primal and easier to trick. Thoooough it does make her faster and frantic, WL Spyro has a looooooootta scars from near misses 8,D So he uses it as an emergency, usually if Feur has a Skylander in her grasp. If Feur gets a Skylander in her claws, she tries to kill them as quick as she can before help can stop her.
