If Kirin are a hybrid subspecies of Umbracorns and Kuros, and Kuros sometimes breed with Kirin, is it possible for these kids to be so Kuros-like that they’re classified fully as Kuros, with maybe a Kirin trait here and there? Like an Allus and a Kirin have a child that looks like an Allus, but maybe has hooves instead of talons on their back feet?

MOD: With the Kuros they’re pretty breed-purists so they likely would still identify them as Kirin. The Umbracorn themselves do subconsciously want their hybrids to be just pure-blooded Kuros and it’s one of the main reasons why they enter into these contracts, but the Kuros themselves wouldn’t ever consider them full-blown Kuros unless they’re born between two full blooded Kuros.

However, privately a Kirin hybrid that far removed from it’s Umbracorn blood would likely call themselves a Kuros!
