Have you ever thought about taking Feuriah’s story and removing it from Spyro and placing it in its own universe? You could probably do it with minimal tweaking. Kuros are already original, and the dragons of Warfang you could probably just make generic dragons. If you did that, you could publish it.

OOC : Actually yes I have, though I haven’t thought about publishing it at all. There is a stand-alone Kuros lore, which is actually what I’m basing the info-blog about. I’m not 100% on what the original story would be about though, as Malefor would obviously be taken out and the purple dragons wouldn’t be such god-like dragons. When I think about the original lore, it’s usually pre-fall.

You mentioned original Kuros that aren’t Spyro-like. What would non-Spyroized Kuros look like?

OOC : Kuros that aren’t Spyro-like in design and lore are actually pretty huge 😀 I haven’t really drawn TOO many non-Spyroized Kuros, but physically a human would maybe come up to a Kuros’ ankle (of course, depending on breed). They’re more traditional in appearance with smaller eyes, and their metal bits would more than likely be modified into the shapes of weapons.

The only original-ques drawn Kuros I’ve done is actually my Sona (though, I still draw her more cartooney than what she should be most of the time).

My sona (who is a direct representation of me and isn’t treated as a separate character, hence why I gave her black bones for funsies as it looked better) is actually tiny compared to what a regular Kuros would be size wise. She’s around the size of a house, but she’s short, stumpy, and just a bundle of frills and wings too big for her body x,D

Then, actually Devine Havok’s dragon form is more original than Spyro-like.

(( ARTWORK DONE BY @foxdog2, check out the original post ))

But normal Kuros, again depending on breed, are normally around this size (damn Dark Souls being super freakn incredible for inspiration)

So their city would actually DWARF most creatures, but the lore is still very much the same. Their elements (though some would change a bit), Gods, language, culture and everything is nearly the same. AND, in whatever world they’re in originally, they were responsible for wiping out most humans.

But that’s all I gots for now D:

PSA if you send me nice messages and i don’t respond

there is a 100% chance i saw it and it made me super duper uber happy but i have no idea how to respond and i will let it sit in my inbox for days or weeks and smile when i see it but still have no idea how to respond

there is a 0% chance that you annoyed me and i don’t like you.

You and Weird seem to talk Kuros lore a lot, so is there anything that you added to the lore? Or helped influence?

spookoofins:

We do indeed talk Kuros lore a bit! As often as we’re both able actually. I’ve been planning on helping her write out some of the details behind the lore, as well as organizing a personal timeline and whatnot, mostly for Weirdlanders. Maybe for Feuriah’s Dawn in the future.

I think one of my favorite things I’ve influenced is the fact that Voteil is Asiirha’s son in one of the universes, but I can’t exactly say which one just yet. Gotta keep people guessing, yaknow? B)

I will say that the concept behind the Umbracorn for Weirdlanders is something I kind of sparked the initial idea behind? (Might be wrong this was more than two months ago.) I’ve been working at the lore for a while now, including the language, history, and culture. Beyond that I can’t reveal much, but what I WILL show you is this….

Meet the Lord of the Umbracorn. He leads the many herds of Umbracorn, one of the Kuros’s greatest and longest allies who willingly chose to forge an alliance with the Kurosians.

OOC : mai waif showin’ the goods ;D

If Hysteria somehow managed to kill Cynder how would Feuriah deal with it ?

OOC : Oh lawd, not well. Not well at all xnx

Feuriah keeps it very close to herself, but she still loves Cynder and is very proud of her daughter’s spunk and drive. She utterly hates that she had to banish her, and now that she’s lacking more and more on the old Kurosian ways, she wishes she didn’t give Cynder the mark. Her upbringing keeps her from showing her regret too much though, she has to own up to her decision by acting like she doesn’t consider Cynder a Kuros let alone her daughter. But, she has slipped up so often that now she’ll only admit it to a select few that Cynder’s even her daughter (not counting when she’s talking to yall), she just does her best to sweep it under the rug and let others continue without knowing if she can.

It’s REALLY bad for her to feel that way, at least in Kurosian standards, the fact that she didn’t kill Cynder for betraying her would probably dishonor her beyond recovery and would most likely get her either killed or banished herself (guess that’s one good reason the others are dead >n>’). Granted her decision was effected by another she made during the Fall; to go look for her son, or try to help her people out of the city. Though she still tries to cling to her old ways now as much as she can, just letting more and more slide now that she’s one of the last.

So if Hysteria did kill Cynder, I can see Feur being full of guilt and grief. She couldn’t be angry with Hysteria for doing what she was suppost to do (kill skylanders), but it would send her spiraling into another dark period of grieving similar to how she used to be the first few years she woke from her emerald entombment. While Feur wouldn’t punish Hiss for doing it, Havok certainly would. There would defo be a rift in the family o_o’

So the Queen and her kin have killed many a skylander. But what about Cynder? If Havok or Hysteria tried to kill Cynder, would the Lost Queen stop them? Or let them kill her?

OOC : There’s an unspoken agreement between Feuriah and her son to not kill Cynder. Havok feels no attachment towards Cynder, 1) because he was born after she was banished and thus grew up not knowing her and 2) he respects the Kurosian law that comes with banishment. He’ll fight her and wound her, but he wont kill her merely because he knows it would hurt his mother whether she shows it or not.

Hysteria however feels nothing for Cynder, nor does she respect that her mother still secretly cares for her. To Hiss, Cynder is just another Skylander in her way. She doesn’t think about killing Cynder specifically, but if she had the opportunity in front of her she wouldn’t think twice about it.

It the situation did come where Hysteria was trying to kill Cynder, I think Feur would try to stop it in some way. It’s against the Kurosian way, but that is her weakness.
