Since you like Fan Kuros thought I’d send you this bad boy, no picture for him though sadly.

Name: Kendrok (taken from the Gaelic/Welsh name of Kendrick) BurdohkVok

Age: 460 (at time of death)

Breed: Brokt like his father.

Family: First born offspring of King Burdohk and Queen Athrenna

Ideal VA: Liam O’Brien War from Darksiders

Abilities: Fire, unlike his Muthura or Athain who had water and earth respectively Kendrok was born of fire and used it to devastating effect on the battlefield. From those who had seen him fight without restraint still shudder in fear from the power of them as the flames he produced were more then capable of turning solid stone into a molten mess. That is of course if he didn’t just crush your skull or ribs in under his massive claw.

Personality: Unlike his youngest brother Kendrok was a born warrior and was every bit as cunning as their muthura. Often called Athrenna’s pride Kendrok takes much after his muthura, always watching and planning. If it wasn’t for the fact that he openly despised being around others outside of his muthura and her harem, whom acted as secondary mother’s, his mate of several cycles, and his offspring Kendrok might have actually tried to take the throne. He was gruff, blunt, and never one to play games save those that involved war strategies often times coming up scenarios to test his children on their choice of tactics. Though he would never admit it out loud he cared deeply for the muthura of his offspring and was secretly glad when she was the only one that would challenge him to the Verdict. Though for the sake of appearances and of course tradition he would never admit he was in ‘love’ with her only that he ‘cared very deeply’ for and about her. Anyone who ever used the L word was met with a swift delivery to a healer.

Appearance: Kendrok took much after both of his parents, from his father he inherited his size and strength, though he was slightly smaller than his father. Yet from his mother he inherited much of his looks appearing greatly handsome and desirable by most females. His underbelly was a dark ruby red, with the tips of his mane reflecting the same color. At the end of his tail a simple yet elegant Kuronium blade adorned it in sharp contrast to his large body though the blade was not to be underestimated as it could easily slice through another Kuros’ scales.

History: Kendrok hatched from the first egg of King Burdohk and Queen Althrenna’s large clutch, his twin sister following shortly after from the same egg. From the moment of his hatching the young Kuro was a born fighter subjugating his siblings after they were all hatched which seemed to earn a chuckle from his mother. Though as they got older Kendrok saw no point in keeping his siblings down as bullying the weak was a waste of time and effort, though after his twin ate Kruta’s toe however he grew disgusted with her over how petty it was.

Being the Queen’s favored offspring Kendrok was of course held to higher standards then most, not only because of his status as a royal but also for what he could become. His mother and her harem saw to it that he knew the ins and outs of running an army and made sure he was more then ready to eliminate potential enemies or even current enemies with a viciousness that would make even the yet to be King Kurogh wary of challenging him in a direct confrontation.

When his youngest brother perished in battle Kendrok personally sought out and destroyed the ones responsible. Delivering their heads to his parents as a sign that his brother had been avenged. Though it wasn’t very necessary he could tell his muthura appreciated the gesture.

Once that war was over Kendrok retreated to his private home and often spent his efforts on training and making Vaercea his particular brand often only being drunk by soldiers and other Brokt as most others would find themselves unable to handle it, and in some cases finding themselves awake in very strange places never remembering how or why they got there. Something he often got blamed for. Not his fault though if lightweights drank his brew.

After he came of age and registered for tournaments very rarely was he met with female challengers for the right to mate and often times just found himself watching for fun, usually eating Smarg and drinking Vaercea. That was at least until she appeared. At first Kendrok didn’t think much of her, a small Shire Kuros with delicate yet strong features, if anything she caught his attention with her beauty more then her skills. At least until the male who entered the arena was nearly torn to pieces with such expertise that Kendrok couldn’t help but drop his wine.

The male in question had been one of his trusted officers and a well known warrior in his own right. Yet the female had taken him down so quickly and so expertly it was a wonder Kendrok had never seen her at the barracks or on the battlefield. Yet the minute he looked up the small Shire dragon in question had closed in on the stands and was nearly close enough to touch. If it was love at first sight he would never admit or acknowledge it but her skill and ferocity had earned his respect and his desire. It would be later into the tournament that the pair would fight were deemed compatible.

It wasn’t until after their contract had been made that he realized that she was in fact one of Kurogh’s many half sisters. Not that the male himself mattered much to Kendrok outside of being an amusing sight during a challenge against his mother where he would be defeated each and every time he tried. Though none of that was really important.

For years, through his parent’s eventual deaths in battle, to the fall of Kurosia he only ever had one constant mate and much like her father they had many offspring, sadly none of which survived the fall. They along with his mate were killed when Malefor decided to destroy the Kurosians. Much like the Lost Queen Feuriah he was wary of the purple dragon and would have rather killed him or force him out of their lands then to let him in and bow to him.

Kendrok and what few remained of his people held out as long as they could against the purple dragon and his armies but they were too few and the enemy too many. Still if it was the last thing he would do Kendrok swore vengeance against Malefor and went so far as to kill an Ukari’Sirbigh for it’s blood to mark himself. Two nights before the final battle Kendrok spent his time in the temple of Bruja’heim praying for the strength necessary to seek his revenge and to strike down the affliction that was Malefor.

The night before the final battle against Malefor and his apes Kendrok was visited by Bruja’heim and was granted his curse. As morning came his soldiers knew what was to come. None would live past this day but they would take their enemies with them. It was a day for blood and death and although they knew they would lose the remaining Kurosians did not back away, they fought with ever ounce of strength left in their bodies.

Malefor’s forces did not shirk on manpower at all and yet in the waning hours of the day numbers accounted for naught in the face of the mightiest warrior ever to come from Kurosia. Despite his great powers Malefor was no match for the powers of the god of revenge. At the end of that blood soaked day the purple dragon that had brought the Kurosian’s to extinction had been reduced to a broken mess. Alive but broken, had Kendrok not suffered such grievous injuries during their battle it was more then likely that Malefor would have fallen that day and the purple dragon’s decision had been correct. Had Kendrok wielded the full might of the Kurosian armies against him, he would have perished long ago.

OOC: Holy. Poop. Baskets. O-O

This is incredible, how much thought you put into this bab and the sheer heart put into making his backstory is amazing. Captivating, well thought out, and while there wasn’t art of him I could picture a well defined character as I read this. Outstanding work hon, holy jibbles Kendrok sounds freakn AWESOME!

You’re very open to people making Kurosians. I’ve seen species that are incredibly closed off, but you seem to encourage everyone to make a Kuros.

OOC: The fact anyone is even remotely interested in making their own kurobabi still blows me away. It doesn’t really bother me at all people want fankuros, it’s incredibly honorable and it makes me smile like a dork to see people be creative with something I’ve poured my heart into making. It is an absolute honor that people are that interested ;u;

Plus, people have made some amazing characters, I have so much fun reading and learning about them!

I don’t feel like I’d gain anything from closing that off from people, I want people to have fun and enjoy themselves. I want them to be creative and feel good about what they make, cuz lawdy it makes me feel over the moon whenever I see a fankurobab. Or when peeps send me ideas, or songs that remind them of the kuros or even my characters. The mere idea of someone thinking of me or anything I make like that nearly makes me cry with glee.

I hope this isn’t a stupid ask but how did you get the name Weird Hyenas?

OOC : Dyaw no worries hon! There’s no stupid asks here! 😀

I’ve always had the nickname “Weird”. My maiden last name is “Weir”, and growing up, the only name people could apparently make fun of me with was ‘Weird’, or “Britney Spears”. So, I owned the nickname Weird, but I didn’t go by it until my college years.

Hyena came from my real life laugh. I cackle, like a hyena. I owned up to both my laugh and my last name in one; Weird Hyena. Hyenas just sounded better, if that makes sense.

Aurora, could you please specify as to what the “special egg’s purpose” was meant to be? And could said purpose still be fulfilled?

Aurora : Only my Master truly knows her purpose, but from what I learned… she was meant to bridge an age of peace among chaos. Destroy hatred, make happiness. But Warfang was so mean… it did not happen.

What’s that? Keep making kurobabs? Okay :D

Then have Trathnona’s second-in-command ❤

Name: Balur

Species: Kuros

Breed: Brokt

Element: Poison

Story: Balur doesn’t like strangers or people who talk too much.  He has a bit of a mother complex, as he protects the eggs the Ifrean a’Rugaht stole from the lab as if they were priceless treasure and has a habit of adopting any stray animals he happens upon.  He gets teased for it often by the other males, and that’s why he looks so cranky all the time.  He harbors a secret crush on Trathnona, which he tries in vain to hide and only adds to more teasing.

He could have easily overpowered Trathnona when they escaped, but Balur doesn’t believe he has what it takes to be a leader.  Like Trathnona, he hopes to one day hold a position of power in Kurosia.  Well, not exactly the kind one would assume a Brokt would want. His idea of a ‘position of power’ would be tending to the whelps in the royal nursery.  He’s good with kids, he knows it, and that’s how he likes it.

OOC : *SCREAMS WITH GLEE* okay I freakn’ LOVE this design dood. Beautiful use of greens, beautiful markings, and wonderful backstory. Beautiful work hon, you make amazing Kurobabs I swear to Mahoura ❤

you ask where the song “Goodbye to the world” would fit and i believe it would go great with voteil trying to secretly comfort his mother considering how the static sounds would go great with him flicking in and out of being flesh and bone

OOC : Anon you make my heart ache and cry, I am proud of you ;u;

OOC : As like many peeps, Dragonheart is a movie that I cherish like mad (if you come into my livestreams, I’ll sometimes play the soundtrack). There are many things I love about this movie, but one I’ve kept in my mind is that Kuros have a unique heartbeat from other dragons; they have Draco’s heartbeat. The sound of Draco’s heart has stayed with me for YEARS and years, and if I could manipulate the sound it would differ in some ways, but I feel a nod to this wonderful classic should be mentioned before I keep forgetting to actually mention it xD

Also worth mentioning ; Havok’s heart beats like this, but Hysteria’s does not.
