Was the All-Mother Yehkshir inspired by the Xenomorph queen I ask because I cant help but see their similarities

Lol actually, not at all. But I can see the similarities now and I don’t get annoyed by it since it would totally seem like it x,D

I’ve only seen the first movie, honestly. I thought the aliens looked neat and were cool, but I was never really inspired by them. I thought the Alien Queen was just a bigger more badass version of the Xenomorphs but after making the Yehskhir was I shown what the Alien Queen looked like and wow, yeah you’d think right? x,D

Yehkshir originally were based off of Mass Effect’s Reapers. Their head crests are shaped the same and their inner-crest designs were meant to be similar to the light patterns on the Reapers.

Their bodies were black as, well, Kuros thing x,D But their thin spider like limbs were meant to mimic inky looking eels, snakes, and all that spoopy stuff. The extra arms thing has been a fascination of mine, like the animals from Avatar, Dead Space or just bugs in general. The little arms actually were something I’ve done before with my demon…thing, LucyBelle! She was originally a Stalker from Dead Space 8,D

Been thinkin’ bout bring her back actually, or making creatures similar to her for Kurosia… BUT YEAH!

Also, my main ARTISTIC inspiration came from BeastofOblivion’s work. The way they do monsters always hit me right in the aesthetic.

IN FREAKN’ CONCLUSION JAYSUS, nope Yehkshir weren’t inspired by Aliens at all. They were a cluster of reapers, spoopy stuff, Avatar/Deadspace, and Artistic inspirations. But I definitely don’t disagree how similar they are to Xenomorphs or the Queen, it makes total sense to me but in the end they aren’t!

Name : Iaagnbol (Ee-yung-bal), translates to “hands demon hound/hellhound”

Description –  horse sized beasts with dog like bodies, however their necks are made up to 3-6 arms that hold up a decapitated head. They appear to have thick, matted fur clumped with mud, twigs, and other forest debris, but some are completely nude. Their appearance slightly differs depending on their ecosystem.

Behavior and Ecology – The Iaagnbol do not need to eat or sleep, instead they wonder all corners of the Kurosian Mountains, being more populated in swampy wetlands.

Their main drive is to always have a head, and their search is very obsessive. They often go for already dead creatures, but if they cannot find one, they will attack and tare heads off living hosts. The heads they do find appear to keep the souls of the creature, their eyes stay wide open but they cannot speak of their own accord, only groan and moan with mouths gaping. The heads slowly decompose, once skeletal the soul seems to leave the head and it is discarded.

Iaagnbol wonder in small groups of 3-5. They speak to each other using the heads, or jerky hand claps when they do not possess a head. Their intelligence isn’t grand, but good enough to manipulate those with kinds hearts to get close enough to ‘help’ them, mimic victim’s cries, and develop ambush strategies. The language they do use is made up of groans, whimpers, cries and whines, no pattern. It isn’t known how they can see, smell and hear with or without a head.

Mythology – Yet another creature symbolizing the weakness of heart, and the stupidity of the over-zealous. There are countless folktales of Kuros falling victim to the Iaagnbol by wanting to help ‘a poor helpless creature crying for help’, following a single Iaagnbol to show off how brave they are only to be ambushed and killed, and many more. The Iaagnbol don’t hunt Kuros particularly and avoid most, but they are still one of the many ‘boogeymen’ among Kurosia’s landscapes.

Trivia –

  • The idea of the Iaagnbol was first conceived when Imagine Dragon’s song “Demons” was released. There was a storyboard I was planning (now long cancelled), of a little girl who fell victim to a demonic stalker. At one point, the demon sends out hounds holding human heads to chase after the little girl. Not much has changed design wise from those original hellhounds, only now they roam Kurosia.
  • A little inspiration comes from the Skinwalker myth where these creatures can use calls via the heads they’ve collected to lure more victims. The fresher the head, the more believable the call. “Only a desperate fool believes the call of the Iaagnbol”

Weird your characters brought together a lot of people that share a common love for what you do and although I can’t speak for all of them we all hope your husband recovers

Aw hon, I really, really wish I was better at explaining how much this means to me. Thank you so very, very much, all of you. You have made the last few difficult years so much better with all of your inspiring asks, heartwarming comments, and the sheer ability to make your own unique, beautiful, amazin’ fanbabs. It’s because of yall I got this far and I’m so very, very thankful even when I duck away and hide. I apologize for that, but I’m even more thankful to those that not only understand, but wish both me and my husband well.

Thank you, and thank all of yall. I promise to return once things aren’t as scary, just a few more days and we can see the doctor and HOPEFULLY get results this time. I deeply appreciate yall’s patience, yall are the best people any artist could ever hope to have follow them.

To be honest I’m sort of surprised that Hiss, given her connection to darkness, doesn’t have black bones. Is there a reason for this, both in universe and as Meta?

Only one black-boned Kuros can be alive at a single time, and there’s already one still living. Hysteria’s one powerful little snowflake, but she didn’t get that luck of the draw ;D

Name: Lilija

Gender: Female

Species: Kuros

Breed: Fiosioc Ghost

Element: Ice

Age: 16 (at death)

Role: Bakery employee (family owned)

Nationality: Kurosia

Relations: N/A

Personality: bubbly, optimistic, intuitive, loyal and cunning

Backstory: Lilija was born to two Fiosioc parents having gained the rights to rear a child from the Mahourian priest and priestesses and spent most of her young life working in the family bakery in the kingdom of Kurosia.  Like many Fiosioc she was a pitiful fighter, but being the naturally cheerful dragoness that she was, this bothered her little. She felt that her work at the Bakery helped progress the more cultural side of her people, helping her people to bond and work together over simple things. However, she was far from naïve, as she had this perceptive part of herself that allowed her to see other’s true nature, and this further allowed her to be able to get out of tough situations, and even, to a lesser degree, manipulate others to do her bidding as she seemed so innocent; though she preferred not to manipulate others too often, as she disliked it, seeing it as below her and weak. However, this skill wouldn’t do much for her when King Kurogh brought in the strange and powerful dragon Malefore. She was scared of the purple beast, there was something sinister about him that others didn’t see, some did, but it mattered little as many blindly followed their King, believing Malefore would lead them to greatness. Lilija doubted her king, silently as not to be brandished a traitor, and preferably looked to her Queen for true guidance, glad to see that Queen Feuriah was wary of the purple dragon as well, but Lilija’s insight wouldn’t prepare her however, when all her people would be slaughtered before her. After that she remembers little, but Lilija did in fact perish during the fall.

Like many of those killed during the fall of Kurosia, she was unable to move on without the God Bhailiu to lead her soul to the veil. She has since wandered the fallen kingdom as a lost spirit. Often times she still believes that she is alive and reacts her daily routines, when doing so she looks like she did when was alive, however sometimes she can become aware of the fact that she is dead and become distressed as she tries to find help from anyone. During her states of awareness she can carry on a conversation with a living being for a while, but she doesn’t remember quite how she died. Sometimes she becomes startled when she realizes that she is dead, and becomes hostile like many other spirits in Kurosia. She reveals her ghostly specter form with icy eyes, and cold mist wiping around her form that sends chills through the living. In this form she attacks any living creature close by with her vicious icy attacks. After a while she calms back down and the cycle continues for as long as she remains a lost spirit, sporadically switching between these three states of mind since the fall. She is forever trapped along with the others.

I hope I submitted this correctly, I guess we’ll see. I did a kurobab after stalking this blog for a while and decided that it was time for me to make one. I hope you like it! ^^

You know, it always  breaks my heart to read stories of fankuros that died. Even tho it’s like, my fault in the first place (or Malefors….still!). It’s heartrenching and so many of yalls stories end up making me tear up like a wee babi. Well, I definitely did with this one too.

There is so much thought put into this bab that it blows me away. When anyone puts so much thought into their kurobabs it stuns me and makes me feel so inspired by yall. This  bab… is bootyful. The story of her really punched me in the heart and I love it. She’s purdy to boot! Thank you so very, very much for putting this much time and effort into this babi!!!!

I just wanted to show you my kurobab. She is a work in progress, but here is the info I have

Name: unknown for now

Age: young adult(equivalent to a 23 year old human)

Breed: Shire

Element: shadow

Uses: has the ability to expel out a foggy, haze-like shadow breath that plays on the victims own self demons, projecting their worst fears as illusions

– can also condense the breath as a fire-like weapon that has the same effect as frostbite

-Able to use the shadow to inhance her melee(think shadow claw from Pokemon)

Secondary scale colour: deep Navy/midnight blue

Personality: a deep thinker but very optimistic for a kuros. She normally looks on the bright side of things. However happy she tries to be though, she is prone to deep episodes of sadness and depression. Very tactical in a fight, she uses her slim build to dodge and maneuver around most enemies.

Job before the fall: in the army, not super high up in the ranks, just a simple soldier.

That’s all I have so far if this even works to post XD I would love some input on the design if you could. The back bones and leg bones were inspired by houndoom. The haze breath is alot like the fear serum gas that Scarecrow uses in Batman…But it plays on the victims own personal doubts and negativity….If that’s allowed

She’s a beaut! For some reason I really, REALLY dig the spines on her rump, I haven’t seen much of that with Kurobabs including my own. And her powers are well thought out (loving the pokemon reference ❤ ) to the point I can see it in my mind, and her personality is something I can so idenify with. Beautiful work on your Kurobab hon, I flippin love her!!!!
