If havok and hysteria were full blood Kuros what species would they be and what would their element be

Havok would definitely be a Brokt, and i think fire would be the best element for him. Some sort of explosive fire to cause mass damage and chaos, seems fitting for him lol

Hysteria would probably be a dwarf Allus (Kaos’ Kurosian form is a dwarf Yinvaht), and her ability Fear. Being able to cause panic and, well her namesake, seems perfecto for her 😀

Yeah, I have to agree with you on this one. I mean 10 CHAPTERS in imaginators!? I swear Activision is getting real lazy and recycling most of their stuff….-.- They really need to get their act together.

I have no idea what goes into making these games, if the tight schedules hinder their ability to expand new ideas only so much or what. For all I know the fact they have to incorporate so many character models with maybe different hit boxes or something is such an issue they have to simplify things. I feel like, they ARE trying new things with each game, but it’s just in the ways that isn’t too pleasing for me personally. Also, keep in mind Activision is the game’s producer, Toys 4 Bob and Vicarious Visions actually make the games!

The new map idea was very cool and I did like it. But only a couple levels really stood out to me (aside from Crash’s level, they did an AMAZING job with that one!!!). And BOYO they made quite a few awesome looking Skylanders this round 😀 Still a lack of dragons *Squints* But the game felt VERY repetitive for me this go. The story is the worst part for me.

Superchargers’ gameplay wasn’t that great, I did like how they worked the car elements in but the thing that REALLY made me love the game was it’s story. It was so cinematic, and actually had some dark tones to it! The scene that will always stick with me is Glumshanks ‘almost death’. It was super impactful, granted it was ruined in the very next scene but I can’t really blame them for it. Clearly they couldn’t kill Glumshanks off (maybe if they had you play a level thinking he died and see Kaos’ reaction to possibly killing him would have fixed all that BUT I digress). Kaos actually had some character development for once! All to be tossed aside and turn him back to the usual Kaos from the first game.

This story felt so dry, so boring, and not once made me feel engaged enough to keep pushing through the levels. A lot of stuff felt like filler, the characters were mostly painful to endure unlike their show counterparts (Trigger Happy actually gave me a headache and I had to put the game down for a bit), but the only thing that kept me going back to play it was getting new Imaginator parts to make new skylanders.

I’m still not done with the game, but those are my thoughts for now. I think I’m on the last level, but jebus I just haven’t felt encouraged enough to finish it. Skyrim, Overwatch and Pokemon have me by the ovaries atm, but eventually I’ll finish it just to do it. I’ll just keep on with Weirdlanders and maybe incorporate a thing or two, just not that… lazy story -3-

Would liquid metal count as a Kuros Ian element? I have this idea for a dragon that has a “breath” attack that like, oozing mercury, kinda like acid dragons that would be extremely hot…but I don’t know if that counts? I was also curious if an ice element as cold as nitros oxide could be possible

Honestly I just say go for it, I’ve got a very poor, POOR understanding of those elements or science-y stuff. But in my derpy brain, makes sense to me! I can’t help but imagine the mercury one puking up the stuff and just standing there awkwardly with it drooling from his mouth x,D lmfao, but yeah go ahead yo!

Name : Howleryeen, “Howler”
Real Name : Gabriel “Howleryeen” Rott
Species : Spotted Hyena
Element : Undead
Class : Brawler
Rank : Ex-Imaginator (now Actor)
Sensei : Wolfgang
Voice Actor : Jonathan Young

Background : Howleryeen was born when King Pen allowed Wolfgang to aide in creating an Imaginator. While he did supervise, little did King Pen know that Wolfgang had sinister plans with his creation. Unable to be evil, he aimed to create a monster to do his musically evil bidding for him. Unfortunately for him, that didn’t quite work out.

Howleryeen burst from his creation crystal looking frightening as an undead brawler hyena. Yet, he stood straight, fixed his collar, bowed, and introduced himself as Gabriel Rott. Wolfgang growled and demanded that his name was “Howleryeen”, and Gabriel seemed a bit annoyed but accepted the beastly name.

The hyena began training as a brawler, quickly mastering his class and element. Yet, he didn’t seem enthused at all. Saving Skylands just didn’t feel right for him, which was Wolfgang’s original plan. But when Wolfgang caught Howler reading play scripts, he was soon to discover his creation didn’t want to cause havoc and death either. Finally, Howler proclaimed that he was going to quit being a Skylander… to become and actor.

Wolfgang was NOT pleased with this. Unable to invoke his old evil ways, he wanted to use Howleryeen as a pawn. He found a way to bring that evil out of Howler by playing a dark note on his bone harp. While Gabriel was able to resist Wolfgang’s influence, it awakened a darkness inside of him that the hyena still struggles to control to this very day.

Now, Howleryeen performs on stage in plays and concerts. However, when Skylands is in need, he’s happy to lend a mighty fist in defending it… for now.

Personality : Very regal and poised, Howleryeen can be polite and gentlemanly. Despite Wolfgang having a hand in his creation, he seems to have a good conscience and even prefers staying out of battles. He can be friendly enough and a bit naive, but only seems to be talkative to those enthusiastic about theater and singing. Howler tends to have a very deep, resounding voice and a musical tone when he speaks. He also has a habit of rolling his “R”s.

However, anyone who gets too close to him starts to notice something isn’t quite right with Gabriel. He seems to get a little ‘too’ into villainous roles in plays, which often scares not only his fellow actors/actresses but the audience as well. Many Skylanders are uncomfortable around the hyena as he gives off a rather unpleasant vibe of something sinister. Despite this, Gabe continues to see the best in others and strives to entertain the stage, even if there’s a savage nature hidden within.

Trivia

  • Howler’s favorite play is “Phantom of the Opera”
  • Thanks to Wolfgang’s villain ways, Howler has a sort of Dr. Jekyll and Mr.Hyde personification going on with him. Wolfgang can bring out the ‘Mr.Hyde’ in Howleryeen by playing a certain note. Howler can lose himself without Wolfgang’s influence however, either by getting too into a role or hearing that note elsewhere. Howler seems to really want to suppress this and pursue a career, but is struggling greatly with the dark side to himself.
  • Appears asexual until he hears someone’s voice he really likes. He seems to swoon more at women who can hit very high notes. Otherwise, he doesn’t seem interested in romance (except for in books and plays, of course).
  • Howleryeen’s name is a play on “Halloween”, but his real name “Gabriel” is influenced by an old character I made in College, who appears in this animatic. Some of his design was influenced by the character as well.

kaotickaos:

Not only is it a large book but it’s also frozen, so it’s basically a block of ice and he’s bitch slapping Spyro with it several times??? His lack of sympathy honestly astounds me sometimes

Oh my lawd I loved this part. I absolutely ADORED how sinister they made Kaos. Keeping his childish personality but still having his cruelty show at the best and right times. This show is so damn good ;u;

I remember when my husband saw this part, he was like “JESUS!!!” Yaaas this part stuck with me and I flippin love it ;u;

I was thinking about what you said about Blades having Kurosian Claiothan, and I was wondering, could it be possible for different types of dragons to come up with wing blades individually, without necessarily taking each other’s ideas?

Feuriah takes a lot of things to heart when she sees other cultures with similar ideas; it’s a Kuros thing xD they’re so proud and they HAVE been around for such a long time, lots of cultures adapt things from them. They don’t see others being worthy of baring their likeness unless they bestow it, they’re stuck up like that lol

But in reality; totally. Feur and the Kuros are the “ORIGINAL OC DONUT STEEL” types, but it’s logical that other cultures develop similar weaponry and the like.

So, if you could have 5 things you want to have for the 7th Skylanders game coming within a year or so, what would it be? For me, it would be a pvp(and vs com) battle mode, survival, mission mode, levels from past Skylanders games and lastly, specific character endings for all 131+new Skylanders! That would be the best Skylanders game in my opinion! :D

Honestly, while I like that Imaginators DID try something new with the map features and Mario-esque like level choice stuff, the actual gameplay was… boring. I’ve played a ton of these games, and they’re all meshing together gameplay wise. I wish they’d have smarter puzzles, kids like a challenge and to feel smart I kind of feel like the games are too easy and simple.

When I was picking up Imaginators, there was a 9 year old kid there seeing me buy it and when his mom asked him what he thought about Skylanders, he shrugged and said, “Eh, they’re a little boring”. And…yeah they kinda are now. I haven’t picked up Imaginators in weeks just because it’s bored me too much. Not to mention the story is a HUGE step back from the last game -3-

I’d love for the next game to try some new game mechanics, trickier puzzles, MORE DRAGONS, harder levels to beat, and hell a dark story would be neat too! Yeah this is for kids… but have you guys seen the first season of Digimon? There’s some messed up stuff in that show, and THAT was for kids! Of course the kind of dark I like is too much for kids but I remember eating that stuff up when I was a bab! The Pokemon show had some powerful messages that to this day I remember really effecting me. The first movie when you think Ash is dead? I freakn BALLED in the theater.

The new game felt too… uneventful. Go get this thing so we can go get this thing and oop there’s kaos recycle the same fight over and over okay no go get this thing and this thing… you get my drift. The make your own skylander thing is probably the ONLY thing I like from the latest game right now.

Maybe I’m looking too into it because I do LOVE Skylanders, and I’m an old fart so perhaps things are flying over my head. What do yall think?

I’m doing a reference of this guy, but between pokemon and commission work, I decided to try and draw Howleryeen as an actual hyena dude. And… very happy with how he’s turning out. Since it’ll still be a little while until he’s done, here’s the bust for him! After finding Jonathan Young, the guy I picked to be Howler’s voice, he’s taken a completely different character role than originally planned. Liking him a LOT more ;u;

Also apologies for not posting submissions yet! I opened commissions a few days ago and I’ve been a busy yeen myself trying to reply to them @-@

Hey wasn’t there a post you did saying about a TLoS comic with Voteil and Sparx? I remember it a bit vaguely about what it was about, but it was like ages ago.

Oh yeah! There is a rough idea canon to Feuriah’s Dawn/Feuriah’s Reign that after Dawn of the Dragon’s plot (which happens after both of those plotlines), Sparx meets Voteil and together they go on a journey to find Spyro and Cynder! I didn’t go into the idea very far at all though, still a picture I’d like to draw one day ;u;
