At Richard Horvitz’s urging on Twitter, I caved to watch Skylanders Academy even though I don’t have any of that game. Watched only episode 1 so far.
Kaos seems almost exactly like Zim… except for these weird facial expressions. This one caught me especially off-guard so I made a gif of it.

The animation is really nice in this show. Some of the jokes also caught me off-guard and I may have screamed a time or two.

it doesn’t look like it takes place before the games. I think it’s like retelling the games in a better way, like the Legend of Spyro trilogy

Which, thank gawd, the games don’t even keep consistent lore either x,D

I personally feel like these take place before the games, but to each their own! I still don’t see Feur being awake yet during these events, though I have thought of something for funsies >u>

What would Fueriah’s role be in Academy since it’s a slightly different story than the games? Could Fuer be with Wash Buckler?

Are you getting the new Pokemon games? If so which one and which starter?

OOC : Daaaaaamn skippy I am! Though, I’ll most likely end up getting both (since Pokemon are dicks and still haven’t implemented multiple save files *grumbles*). But, I know for starters I’ll be getting Moon first cuz… well bats xD I love bats. I like Liger Zero legendary as much as the next Zoid-lover, but gimme da bat. But I’m definitely starting with Rowlet, I love bats but owls are my SHIT

Is Bhailiu based on Santa Muerte?

OOC : Bhailiu is mostly based off of the core idea of the Grim Reaper, a creature that goes around collecting souls and taking them to the afterlife. A lot of cultures have similar ideas and while the Kuros are mostly Celtic inspired, Bhailiu itself was more along the Reaper lines.

Finally finished the skylanders show! Gotta say, it was AWESOME! Well written, BEAUTIFULLY animated, and all around a good, good show. I think a little part of me was hoping for more character conflict, like in the last episode between Kaos and his mother, BUT I still VERY much enjoyed it nonetheless ;u; Even got me to like characters I previously disliked! I hope season two is just as good, if not better!
