Background : Sapphyre was born as one of the many Imaginators. From the moment she was brought to life, Sap was eager to get to work as a Skylander; afterall it was her born purpose and she didn’t seem to question it. Striving to hone her skills quickly, she was taken in by Dr.Krankcase to master her sharpshooting skills as well as Ambush to help teach her balance and meditation, as she seemed rather brash and scatterbrained at first. 

Personality : Flirtatious but courageous, Sapphyre is a outgoing satyr. She enjoys jokes and puns but can be fairly picky about them, though she cracks up at all of Dr.Krankcase’s goo related ones. She can come off as immature, but still have a kind heart willing to dive in headfirst into battle. Unafraid of a challenge, as long as she can laugh about it. 

Trivia

  • Sapphyre loves dancing and using her hooves to emphasize drumbeats
  • Is too eager to live up to dares whether she thinks she can do them or not
  • Absolutely hates having her tail pulled. Many Skylanders are learning that tugging on her tail will earn a hoof in the face
  • Hates pants and will actively go out of her way to burn them. She seems to get along with those that don’t wear pants more.
  • Stays clear away from the cold and ice
  • Has deemed it a challenge to try and annoy Ambush by running around him during missions yelling, “Sensei, hey sensei!”. She gave up doing this to Dr.Krankcase as he easily trips her.

FINALLY doodled her out between commissionwork! Been dying to draw her, though I’m not completely sure how she’ll fit into Weirdlanders canon. I haven’t beat the game yet so when I do, I’ll get to werkin’ on how to fit her in. For now, she’s just doing her darnest to kick ass and annoy her senseis 😀

Hey Weird~ I have Skylanders: Imaginators for the Wii U in a form of a Dark Edition Starter Pack, and I beat the game already, so anyways, how far are you now?

OOC : Awesomesauce! I play with my husband, so we usually play when we both have time to, but I haven’t gotten far simply because I gotta keep some moneyflow coming in so I don’t got to touch my savings x,D I think Kurt and I just got to the Pop Fizz levels, but we’re taking our time. 

I’ve done this with every Skylanders game, play a couple levels and go back to work. We don’t take the game seriously so there’s a LOT of us being dicks to each other (which yes, I am abusing the selfie function. One day I’ll post all the pictures we’ve taken because it shows just how mature my marriage is. Spoiler alert, we’re incredibly immature shitsneezes x,D ). Maybe in a few weeks we’ll have it beaten, we’ll see!

OOC: So Weirdie I saw you got Skylander Imaginators and since you can customize your own character with element creator crystals I was wondering if you had tried making any of the WeirdLander characters yet?

OOC : Nope I haven’t! I just made Sapphyre and I have one more undead crystal left, but I’ve just been playing as her, Dr.Krankcase, and Kaos so I just haven’t bothered making another yet x,D 

But as customizeable as the game is, my own characters are so specific that I don’t think it’s too possible to make any of my characters. So I’m not really bothering, making whole new ones is much more fun 😀

Well, they released a trailer for Skylanders Academy very recently so maybe anon was asking about what you thought of that?? ><;

OOC : Possibly? I mean, if so I am very optimistic of what the show could be. So far the game is kinda funny, I think they might be trying to keep the humor like the show but from what I’ve seen I might be a little too old/not hip enough to REALLY laugh at the jokes. My husband and I got a giggle here and there so that’s awesome, but a lot of the jokes made us go meeeeh. I dunno how much communication there was between the studio and the show, so who knows what the show will really be like. 

I know I’m viewing the show as a 26 year old adult, so a lot of the jokes/humor won’t be aimed at me but more at the kids. And in a way, I hope it hits more with them than it does me, because I’d love for a new generation to grow up with Spyro. Gawd if I had Skylanders Imaginators and this show as a kid, I’d be shitting myself right now! But that’s just my mindset, this show isn’t for me and I kinda don’t want it to be. 

Sure I’d love to find enjoyment out of it, I’m not a typical adult so I very well may love it like I love the games. If it’s a perfect balance, I’ll be one happy yeen 😀 It is from the writer of Futurama and they said they wanted it to be like a mix of that show and Gravity Falls, which would be neat tho I didn’t really like Gravity Falls (the humor was a little too offbeat, something about the timing and delivery didn’t hit with me BUT THAT’S JUST ME).

I got two questions to ask Make family. 1. What is your reaction to he Skylander cartoon on Netflix, and two if you ever get the chance to see the different forms, what would it be?

OOC : I’m sorry hon, I’m not quite sure what you’re asking. I mean, I haven’t seen the show yet so I have no opinion on it, but I dunno what you mean by Make family or these ‘different forms’ o-o”

Who’s Gattle’bat?

OOC : Oh man, this guy. Okay so, I’m sure everyone is perfectly aware of my clusterfuk of a brain and how I keep pushing off revealing stuff for other things. Well, this guy has had it worse than Reave. Gat here is around three years old at this point, though he has made plenty of appearances in other places, I never actually revealed him here -_-

The main reason is simply because I had his ref sheet in the process of being flat colored… then upon drawing him a few times his model changed so much I’d have to re-draw almost everything. Instead of updating his reference sheet, I just kept drawing him in other things x,D

But this is Gattle’Bat, actually an OC quite close to me heart. Three years ago he was roughly doodled for the old cancelled “Awakening” comic I was doing about Feuriah before this blog was even started. Roundup also appeared in that panel, but unlike her I ended up taking that doodle and re-designing Gats. Now, he’s a full fledged character with a set personality. Maybe one day I’ll get around to fully drawing this guy for the blog… maybe when I magically catch up with everything else eh? xD

Gattle’Bat is a Tech Skylander who originally was set to join the team around the time Trap Team takes place. He’s a wingless fruitbat with a love of cigars, whiskey, and building/repairing weapons in his cluster of a workshop. He has his own personal weapon that he’s mastered, a Gatling gun named “Betty”. However, Gats is actually not very violent unless he’s paid to do so. Natrually, he’s incredibly laid back, bares a near monotone voice, and will go along with just about anything if asked to. Not a lot of Skylanders can handle his inability to take things too seriously or show much emotion, or the smell of his cigar, and he doesn’t seem too eager to make close friends. He can be found either at a bar, or his workshop, he won’t venture much else unless paid to or asked to.

That’s my boi! I suppose he is open for asks, I just wished I had finished his ref before…ah well, have a Gats!
