Personality: Quirky Nature – Good Endurance

‘Goldie’ is thought to be from a species that is descended from Kuros due to their golden bones. They are a very sharp witted dragon who despite everything is also very talented and powerful. Not much is known about this dragon, but its best not to think just cause they need help getting around that they are defenseless or a pushover.

Background:

While its unknown how Goldie came into existence, they were a nice child who suffered many horrors of abuse from their ‘mother’ and her family, and with poor health that only made it worse. As time went on the dreamed of a father who was there and loved them.

But when their family went to Warfang, it was soon attacked by the Kuros. Goldie was lucky that they had left the city before hand to explore. Seeing the death of thousands and dark dragons like them, Goldie tried to follow them, hoping they would be accepted.

However once they got to Kurosia, they weren’t greeted with kindness and were seen as an outsider. Goldie begged, telling them how they had metal bones and were a dark dragon as well. Goldie was then put under supervision.

As time went on Goldie wanted to prove themselves to the Kuros, but it was clear no matter what they did they were seen as a outsider. Which eventually had pushed them to the edge. Diving into science and studying, Goldie had become such a brilliant being that they were one of the smartest beings in Kurosia.Testing their strange powers and creating technology that could be seen as breaking the line of life and death.

Though when Zaki told the king that Malefor was not what he seemed, Goldie took it as a sign to leave Kurosia. However they left with Zaki, and continued their work.

However a falling out between the two caused Goldie to then spend the next 100 years in the shadows doing who knows what they have seemed to come of the shadows for unknown reasons.

Trivia:

  • They prefer the nickname ‘Goldie’ to Mad Blood
  • They lived in Kurosia
  • Goldie’s back legs still can be used, but its very hard to do and can be painful.

Infernacus was thrown in there for shits’n’giggles, it’s not story related or anything from what I remember x,D It was mostly for scale; Infernacus is in his original size from FD, which is quite a LOT bigger than the usual Skylanders. I think Divine Havok ended up getting bigger after this, as his Divine Form is actually granted from a specific Kurosian God >u>

OOC : I’ve gotten a few asks about Divine Havok, so I’ll reblog a few things from WAY back when the blog first started! The Divine Havok plot is years old, but I still love this commission from Foxdog2 of Havok’s “Divine God” form.

I lost a LOT of art from way back then of any concepts I had, but when I have the chance I’ll totally doodle up some more concepts and post any that I happen to find too! Till then, enjoy this badass (and my personal favorite) depiction of Divine Havok!

It’s okay to be slow when you’re making art.

So I kind of wanted to make a post about this.

I know some of you look around, and you see all these artists making such beautiful art in time spans of like an hour or a few hours, and then you look at your work and you get so demoralized because you’re taking so long.

I’m here to tell you that that’s perfectly okay. You’re not other artists. You are you, and your work defines you. If you need to take 10 hours, or even days to complete your art piece, it is okay, because it’s yours. You’re doing your best to make your art what you want it to be, and just because you can’t do it in a few hours like other artists do, it doesn’t make the value of your work any less. In fact, your patience and perseverance is absolutely admirable.

Take your time. You’re using your hands to create something that you love. Don’t let the people around you that you see hinder that in any way. You will definitely get faster in time, but if you give up now, thinking that you’ll always be this slow when you make art, you’ll never reach that stage. This applies not only to art, but also to other skills that you’re trying to pick up.

So look at what you yourself are doing, instead of looking around at others. Don’t worry too much, and enjoy yourself in the process of creation and learning! 🙂

What goes on in the Devine Havok plotline? What makes him ‘Devine’?

OOC : Oh man, so much goes on. The core plot to the story is that Kaos makes a time portal hoping to go back in time to stop the Skylanders from forming (all while Havok is around 5-6 years old), but the portal starts to break apart nearly sucking Kaos in. Spyro is the only one close enough to save Kaos, but instead of doing his heroic deed, he lets Kaos fall into the portal. Havok witnesses it with his mother, and swears revenge. After a few days, the guilt overcomes Spyro and he enlists the help of Eon to send him wherever Kaos ended up so he could bring him back. Sparx joins him, and the two are actually sent into the post-apocolyptic future just as Kaos and Glumshanks get there too. They need Kaos’ help to send them back, but they have to travel to Kurosia as it is the last place to have a functioning portal. 

But to summarize some of my personal favorite parts-

  • Havok is sadistically insane, and rules Skylands from Kurosia with his equally driven mad Queen Stormee. Skylands is left in decay and apocolyptic destruction
  • He’s a freakn’ God with a colossal ‘Devine’ form
  • Kaos gets into a fist fight with Spyro after learning Spyro’s daughter, Circuit, killed Feuriah and now wears her scales/metal as armor 
  • Havok keeps Cynder locked up in the Catacombs and allows her body to decay, driving her even more crazy than himself
  • Havok tries to kill his own father when Kaos attempts to claim Skylands as his (this is before Kaos was more of a father figure to him, and is more like the Kaos in the games pre-Superchargers)

When Spyro and Kaos come back, they slowly forget what happens. I keep it canon that Kaos and Spyro went missing for a week, but come back. This is one of the things that kickstarts Kaos into appreciating what he has with Feur, though now he doesn’t remember why or how he lost one of his teeth (for reference, in Skylanders : Swap Force, in the cutscenes Kaos is missing a tooth but it’s never explained, and magically AFTER he’s no longer missing it). 

Granted, since this is mostly based in the AU with @a7xsparx, keeping this blog canon is more of a nod to that. She and I came up with this together, it took an entire month to roleplay out, and LAWD it it was epic. 

And, because Kaos is returned, Hysteria is born, and the very concept that birthed her was to replace the role of Devine Havok ;D

((Hey, there was only one Customlander piece leaked; there could be potentially more feral Skylanders! I find it all very interesting to see customizable skylanders, even moreso than Swap Force!))

OOC : I’m keeping my hopes up, but it does feel like a final thing to me. I’d be more than happy to be proven wrong though!
