Can we possibly see a Kurosian armour reference? It looks like a pain to draw without one.

OOC : Sure thing, I feel your pain ;n; I can link you to some previous drawings that showcases Kurosian armor, but I will also give the original inspirations of Kurosian armor too! Typical Kurosian grunt armor is tailored to the wearer with some similarities in look, but since Kuros aren’t all shaped the same, helmets do tend to look different, gems can be of different colors depending on the Kuros’ tastes in magic or element, weapons change again on taste, etc.

This is the post showing what a typical grunt’s armor set is.  Not every bit of the armor needs to be in place, some Kuros may have preferences or fighting styles that needs their arms, necks, legs, or tails free. Most Kuros that don’t naturally have good wing blades would have what they called Claiothan, which are wing blades similar to the Skylander Blades’. 

However, I can doodle up some references if you need specifics! I’m quite busy with commission-work this week, but I can doodle up concepts if it would be helpful! 

A major influence of Kurosian armor comes from most Skyrim armor, Dark Souls, and of course The Guardians of Ga’hoole. I have the art of Ga’hoole book that is very helpful, but here’s a search for some of them. Kuros use many weapons that fit their own need, like battle claws, swords attached to their fists, wolverine like claws that Athrenna uses, nearly anything.

OOC : Holy shit, old art is… gawd very old.

When I posted Kurogh, I mentioned that he was years old. I had his design roughed out about four or five years ago for him to eventually appear in the LoS comic “Feuriah’s Dawn”. This is for more of his LoS counterpart, and gawd he was one hell of a spikey boyo.

I didn’t end up planning to use this exact design as it was still not how I pictured him, but it was my very first go at him! His name was even spelled differently x,D Of course, Kurogh was always meant to look more like Cynder, or ‘evil Cynder’, but this design just didn’t do the honors. Close, but no cigar. 

I was going through some files in attempts to find something for a friend when I came upon this old gem. I just had to post it, old embarrassing art be old!

Ondol’binthine Ari! I, for one, would like too complement you on how awesome you look. For two, how do you train in order to become as strong as you are? Do you have any special techniques, or are you just naturally skilled?
