Merry Christmas Weird! I hope you have a good day today and I also hope Kurt gets better. I hope things will get better for the both of you! (If it isn’t Christmas when you get this then I apologize, I live in the other hemisphere or maybe this will be late. Who knows) Lots of love!- A random Anon. :)

You too hon, and same to everyone that celebrates it! ❤ Thank you so mooch

How do Hybrid Species come about, and how well known are they? And what defines what can or cannot cross? Because early in this blog’s history, Feur acted like Havok happening was a great mystery or impossibility, but now there are Kuros hybrid races like the Kirin. So is this something that changed, or is there more to it?

Oh there’s more to it 🙂 With Havok, he was the first human/kuros hybrid in Kurosian History. This is because humans weren’t allowed to breed with Kuros. Humans were seen as parasites, pests that leeched the Kuros for their dark magic and knowledge. The humans that were able to stay and study among the Kuros were often distrusted and weren’t given much status. They were thought so little of, that the Kuros didn’t even think humans could successfully breed with a dragon.

In Kurosian culture, there are species who’s alliance hinges on if they can successful produce offspring with the dragons. The most solidified alliance was that with the Umbracorns, so the Kirins were the most populated hybrids as the Kuros and Umbracorns produced very strong offspring consistantly.

Not every species allying themselves could try for breeding contracts, though. It depends on the species, wether the Kuros considers them worthy enough of such status. Species like the naga could never get a breeding contract as they were seen as slaves, and breeding with un-allied, unqualified species was against the law. However, species that prove themselves a great asset to the Kuros are the ones that can gain breeding rights as well as other status enriching benefits.

Those that could breed with the Kuros still ran the risk of not producing healthy offspring. The Umbracorns had the highest success rates, while other species had issues with stillborns, or babies that didn’t live long due to complications. This definitely hurt that species’ status in Kurosian culture, and this varies greatly from species to species.

Pretty much, hybrids are living proof of healthy alliances. Feuriah thought so little of humans when she was with Kaos at first that the idea of her baring his children wasn’t even possible in her mind.

With how developed WL is would you say its the ‘main’ story out of your Wl, FD etc stories? As in it being the canon story and Fd being the AU? Naturally it would have to be an original WL, as in the events of WL still happening but with tweaks and characters being changed to make it 100% yours. This is not to diss original Feaur or her story, but villain Feuriah just seems more fitting and interesting then good hearted heroin Feuriah

Hmm, honestly… there is no real ‘main’ one. WL and FD are two versions of a story depending on the universe they’re in, while the eventual canon Kurosia lore is it’s own thing entirely. I have ideas for the canon story, but I’ve decided to focus more on solidifying the world building. Creating the world and it’s laws will be the foundation, and I’ll craft the story around that.

BUT to focus on your question lmao. I honestly prefer villain Feuriah than LoS Feur, but I blame that on the fact that I either identify, or feel for villains more than I do heros. I’m far more interested in villains, as most heros and sometimes even anti-heros are too unrelatable for me. Feuriah’s LoS counterpart isn’t a saint, but villains are just… more fun >:D

Are we allowed to make hybrid species like the Kirin? I have a wicked cool idea of a cockatrice hybrid species born from bird people (like jetvac and hootloop but crows/tengu) and a Kuros pact!

Dooooood! Yes, go for it! I would ADORE to see what you’d come up with! The Kuros have actually made pacts with bird like people and beasts, like the Nagas they help the Kuros with mundane things like dressing them in armor, cleaning their scales, etc. only the birds weren’t slaves. They were allies that are paid to do those jobs, so they tend to work for nobles and the upper-middle class that want to seem richer than they were.

BUT that’s all I had in mind for the canon! I look forward to seeing what you come up with (wether it’s related to the lore or not, just have fun doods!)

How are you and Kurt doing? Been a good ol’ while. Sending lots of love<3

Aw thank you hon! I’ll…feh, I’ll just be honest.

He’s gotten worse, having a lot of trouble with his neck and face going numb, so on a whim we decided he should spend christmas up in Canada. I won’t be able to come visit as I work until the day before christmas eve, and there is NO way I’m going to get through the border both ways before I have to work again. But he needs to be with family more than he needs to be with me right now. I’ll go up and visit if I can convince my work to give me at LEAST 3 days off, the drive up to canada is about 3-4 hours. We’re not sure how long he’ll be up there, but he’ll be looking into possible ways to seek help there too.

Still no clue what it really is, we have to re-apply for financial help for his tests before we can even attempt something new. Things are… really not good and haven’t been, but we have no choice but to just keep goin. Sorry I didn’t have any good news for the holidays ^^’

But I hope everyone has the best christmas/holidays! I appreciate yall, sending obnoxious loving hugs your way ❤

Kurosia : Breithonakt’s Judgement

With the new season of Vikings starting up, I felt a bit inspired to do original Kuros lore stuff! I had a handful of sketches, but I ended up liking the Breith one enough to work on it the most. I wanted to show his sheer size, those being full grown dragons he’s peepin on! He’s usually covered by the Veil way better than this, he doesn’t like to be seen (big ol’ metal drama noodle he is). His body is covered in the skeletons of Kuros/hybrids that didn’t make it past the Veil in which Breithonakt guards, and it looks like he’s about to add some more >:D

Enjoy!

When are we honing to see Hiss grow up? I’ve lost track of the time, but hasn’t it been a few years already?

Ehehehehe oh it has, and the fact she hasn’t seem to grow is, for once, on purpose 😀 Her vultures are getting bigger, but she isn’t. She’s already around 10 years old now in blog canon >:3

THOUGH she is hinted in this post from a long time ago. I’ve had her adult form designed the night I made her originally 8D just, wanted to find a good time to reveal it. So much has slowed down production wise that I just feel like Hiss isn’t coming across as a real threat (to me, anyway). I’d love to finish The Bad Seed and maybe some other things before bringing that form out ;u;
