Why did Dr. Krankcase switch sides and join the Skylanders? Did Feuriah task him with infiltrating them?

Pretty much, yup!

When Feuriah decided to have one more clutch with Kaos, she knew she’d have to spend at least the next few years permanently in Kurosia caring for her newborns. She needed spies to report to her to keep her informed of the status of Skylands while she broods. Dr.Krankcase by now is just as trusted as Jack, and offers to take that spot. The empire learns that Wolfgang and Golden Queen are ‘Sensei’ now, and having Dr.Krankcase as an infiltrator would also be perfect for trying to worm those two HIGHLY wanted criminals of the Empire out too.

After an organized strike, Dr.Krankcase was ‘caught’ and taken to the Academy, where he pretends to completely break and beg the Skylanders to keep him safe from the Empire. Imploring that they were actually so hellbent on ending the Skylanders that they were ruining his creations and precious ‘goo’. He also blamed the Empire for turning parts of his hair grey, and for a tare in his hat.

Eventually he becomes a Sensei to an Imaginator named Sapphyre, a particularly annoying pupil who veeeery easily gets on his nerves 8,D She however becomes very attached to him, attributing him as a father figure moreso than a Sensei.

Dr. Krankcase hasn’t been able to get either the Golden Queen or Wolfgang to trust him enough to get them alone for capture, however. Whenever when he and his imaginator are sent out on a mission with them, they request an additional Sensei team. But he’s workin’ on it 😀

Ok, this might be an odd suggestion, but maybe you could give Kurogh straight horns? Cynder and Voteil could get the curving of their horns from Feuriah.

Nah, not an odd one at all! I’ve always personally hated how too “Cynder” Kurogh looked, yet I felt this strong design theme for him. I want it to tie into his character and personality, so you take one look at him and think ‘okay yeah he’s a dirtbag asshat’, with fear and archery in mind. I’ve even thought about changing his breed, but the doodles I’ve done with him haven’t felt right . I’d post but I had deleted them before they were complete Dx

There was a specific look I was going for with Kurogh originally, similar to Cynder’s corrupted adult form with his nose and chin horns forming a ‘bow’ shape; as his main attack are ‘fear arrows’. The horns were to curl up into a ‘crown’, but I feel like I never got the crown like look I felt was meant for him.

Kurogh’s very first concept art and name spelling, veeeery early FD days 8,D He also originally had Cynder’s green eyes, but that changed to blue to be more piercing. Also before his “Fear Arrows” were implemented. I ended up liking his chin spikes on Havok more than on Kurogh pffpfppff

But since I’ve strayed further and further from LoS styled dragons (or, trying to x,D), I think when I update Kurogh’s design, it’ll more reflect how he may appear in the original take on Kurosia. Or, a concept of what it could be 😀

Suggestions are always welcomed! Kurogh admittedly has always been a weird character for me design wise. I hated how much he looked like Cynder, but at the same time, I liked the idea of Cynder seeing a lot of herself in him. With her looking so much like him, she’d question if perhaps she’s just as awfully stubborn as he is in her own morals; possibly leading her own friends and family to a destructive fate. It ain’t workin’ for me though, I’ll update his design eventually @_@’ Straighter horns or curled ones, whatever it be it sure aint goin’ to stay like dis!

TL;DR – Thank you for your suggestion and excuse my frustrations with this dumb boy’s design Dx

wasn’t blackout decendent from the kuros it’d be real weird if he was athrenna’s great great grandson and nobody knew

Blackout’s species were decedent of Kuros, but weren’t Kuros themselves. They’re corporeal beings when out of their dimension (dream realm), and are directly connected to the darkness, no matter what side they’re on in Blackout’s case. They don’t have bones, therefor no Kuronium, which makes them Kuros (in the Kuros’ eyes anyway). Yoldahr are still *technically* Kuros in a sense as their fangs are Kuronium; however they have no Gods and live barbaric lives. Blackout’s own clan had long forgotten they were tied to the Kuros as they had forsaken Suancae’Meith (Kurosian Goddess of Nightmares/Dreams), their creator.

Blackout’s story pretty much starts during the Trap Team story arc, when he gets to meet and talk to the Lost Queen. She recognizes him for what he is and is able to tell him about how his kind originated, and if he tried, he could possibly re-connect with the Gods again and gain all new abilities (if the Gods were ‘awake’. Suancae was effected and nobody can reach her plane of dreams). Knowing his place he finds himself in a similar position as Cynder among the Skylanders, at least to himself, others treat him no differently as he’s not a Kuros like Cynder is, especially one so directly tied to the Queen.

While he believes that he, himself, needs to fight for good as it’s in his own nature to want to protect the innocent. But upon learning how the Kuros saw themselves in a far, far bigger picture that he ever imagined his own kind did, he felt a similar pull to help bring the Kuros back to truly fix everything. Cynder feels that, but also feels a stronger need to stand up for her mother where Blackout usually stays very, very quiet.

Whats the difference of Chroma from a regular dragon?

theshimmeringisles:

MOD: The short answer is that there isn’t much of a difference, but there also is a lot of differences.

The long answer is that Western and Eastern dragons don’t exist the way we conceive them in this world. All of them fall under the umbrella term of dragons. Four legged, winged creatures that breathe ‘fire.’ Not all of them breathe fire, but they do use elemental magic that is expelled from their mouths.

Much like how the dragons in the Wings of Fire series are still technically dragons even if they don’t breathe fire, the Chroma are dragons, so are the Dunewyrms, the Kuros and the fourth dragon species. Chroma themselves stand out because they have chromatic colors that aren’t limited to their elemental power, some have magi-gems (not all of them), and can master more than just the element of fire like your traditional dragons would.

y’all ever see a sibling interaction in media and just know….it was written by an only child

It’s weird when sibilings apologize in the movies. Because sibilings only apologize when they did something really really bad, like murder someone or something, otherwise the sibilings just casually start to talk to each other as if nothing had happened.

Siblings in a movie making up: I’m so sorry I hurt you…you’re not only my sister, you’re my best friend.

Siblings in real life making up: Lmao idk if you’re still mad bitch but look at this meme really quick.
