I used to! I watched the first… 5 or 6 seasons I think, but I dipped off when it just… wouldn’t stop 8,D It was getting so clear that the writers were running out of ideas and suspense dropped completely. The brothers kept relapsing into old habits so they never really learned anything, and that tends to bug me a lot -3- It got a bit too ridiculous so I jumped off the wagon, but the first handful of seasons are SOOOO GOOOOD. I can’t honestly say how it is now since I haven’t seen.

Castiel was my fav. character tho ❤ And Bobby, omg Bobby. And fukking Gabriel x,D Always hated how they treated female characters tho -_-

If like, Malefor hadn’t come to Kurosia, there is an AU i’ve dabbled in a little here and there with adult Voteil and Kurosian-raised Cynder. Here’s an original post about it (though it’s old and a lil out-dated but not by much)! In it basically Cynder and her father didn’t get along. Cynder was born in a clutch of 5, the first to hatch, but it’s Feuriah that names her Avelyn (which in Kurosian means “longed for” or “wished for”, Feuriah gave her the name as she wanted a daughter). 

Pretty much Avelyn and Kurogh’s relationship is pretty mixed. They’re both VERY stubborn, and anything Kurogh tries to tell her to do she does the opposite. Like Feuriah, she’s stubborn to the point of spite 8,D Still is, but that sours things and Kurogh doesn’t pay her much mind after a while, the other four clutchmates are more like him. He wouldn’t really be a good father, but a typical old-fashioned Kurosian one; strict, forceful of the ways, and rather cold. Feuriah is the one that shows her children more of the emotional side of Kurosian upbringing, teaching Avelyn that it’s important to stay true to the beliefs, but to be sure to love your people unconditionally. 

Avelyn/Cynder pretty much stays the same character no matter where she was raised. She doesn’t fully agree with her mother or her father, and does what SHE thinks is right. A mix of Kurogh’s calculated thought and Feuriah’s emotional bonds, the universe just dictates what she thinks is right 😀

If a Kuros realizes they have that kind of love growing in them, they can pray to Mahoura to help give them strength. But She won’t magically remove it, it’ll be like a challenge She’d give them. If they dedicate themselves to the people, try everything in their power to move past the feeling and cleanse it themselves, she’ll bless them in some way. The ones that allow themselves to succumb are the ones that failed her, failed their people, and deserve the ultimate punishment for it. Kuros view love as a poisonous weakness, if a dragon is weak enough to bend to it’s will so easily, death by their claws, Breithonakt’s, or the outside world is what they deserve. At least, that’s how they view it in their culture :>

Not every has to like Skylanders, I totally get that too. Good, sound reasons not to like it, and I have no problem with those peeps, because I agree with quite a few anti-skylander things. I have a lot of problems with the games too.

The people I DO have problems with, are those that feel entitled to boast their hatred on art, that try to shut Skylanders down, and that pester the writers of the show/games/etc. You can not like a thing a whole bunch, but don’t you dare try to ruin it for other people. Don’t go on people’s fanart shitting on the game, or leaving back handed comments like “this game sucks art is good tho”. Stop that. Stop it.

Your opinion is not that important, and them liking a thing you don’t like won’t ruin your life. And that kind of comment is more shitty than good.

Eyup, I remember that. And if I’m completely honest, if I could go back in time and meet that version of me, I’d deck her in the face. Granted uh, Activision already had Spyro at the time, I drew that because of my immature hatred for Skylanders then. 

That was… god, 7ish years ago? I will not shy away from it, I admit that was me, heck I still bring it up to people when I talk about how my opinion on Skylanders changed so dramatically. I was childish when I drew that, I was the very thing I hate now about the LoS fandom, the type of person that now makes me forever salty and bitter towards it. 

However, Razzek and ShaloneSK eventually perked my interest with their art. They weaned me away from that ugly, toxic behavior I had and I blame them for actually getting me to try Skylanders. The KaosXFeuriah ship? It all started BECAUSE of Razz drawing art of Cyndertits (whom I still love, that joke will never get old for me) having Kaos as her father. I joked that Feuriah and him had a one night stand, resulting in the bratty daughter Cynder. I actually have the picture she drew of them meeting at the bar hanging up by my computer >u>

After trying the game… my viewpoint changed. I realized I had fun with Skylanders, that my hatred was horribly misguided and childish. Kurt and I played together and had a lot of dorky, stupid fun. I started getting plot ideas, drawing it, and BAYUM Weirdlanders. 

The reason I’m so bitter and salty now is the people that were so damn rude about me getting interested. People who were disgustingly horrible to ANYONE drawing Skylanders at all. I met so many Spyro artists, one of them face to face, who just wanted to draw the characters for fun but ended up deleting them, or being pushed away from drawing them because shitty, awful people who couldn’t stop themselves from bitching on their art. That also includes SpyroXCynder shippers, hoboi in the early days if anyone drew Spyro or Cynder with another Skylander, so many comments were them bashing it. And I guess that’s coming back :T That’s why I’m bitter, that’s why I’m so salty. When Game Grumps tried to do a let’s play of Superchargers, everyone hated on it so badly they couldn’t continue it. I’m just glad I changed my opinion, and had the balls to stick with it. Just know, I do not endorse that picture at all anymore.

My intro into the Skylander fandom was an ugly one, and even tho I hate the fact I drew that stupid picture I won’t ignore the person I used to be. Proof that people can change their opinion. There are good reasons to not like Skylanders; but there are absolutely NO excuses for shitting on it for such sad reasons and trying to ruin the fun for other people. You do you, let people enjoy themselves, life’s already crappy enough.

But Skylanders Spyro is once again receiving no love, and Spyro fans who hate him mostly voted ‘no’ because he “isn’t their Spyro” or “their childhood was ruined because of Skylanders”. Some Spyro fans even believe that there are no fans who would ever buy a large collectible statue of him. One of them even claimed that adults don’t play Skylanders (what??).

But we can prove them wrong.

Skylanders fans, and Spyro fans that care about Skylanders too, it is time to make our stand once again. Classic and Legend Spyro fans who hate Skylanders have us outnumbered, but we can show them that we want a Skylanders Spyro collectible statue too! 

Most children and some adults today grew up with Skylanders, and the Spyro that came with the games, they deserve to have a statue of him, just as Classic and Legend Spyro fans are getting their statues.

Classic and Legend fans were up in arms when it came to voting for their statues of Classic Sparx, Hunter, Ripto, Cynder, etc. But it isn’t fair for them to deny Skylanders fans their chance of getting a statue of Skylanders Spyro, or perhaps other popular Skylanders too! All because most fans think “their childhood” is all that matters.
