So weird hyenas, i read the character list and this might seem like a dumb question but, is it possible to ask spyro questions on here?

I’m actually just, slow to replying to questions still given how difficult life has been this past 9 months (side note, holy jebus THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR STILL FOLLOWING 8,D ).

I’d say, aaay go for it! I prefer working the villain’s angle as this is mostly that side of Skylands, buuuuuuut I wouldn’t mind opening the umbrella more. Just, huge apologies if I take a million billion years to reply if it’s art 8,D

Seuth can appear as any breed, but what is the meta reason for it? Did you design Voteil as looking like his mother, but then decided to make him a different breed? Or had you planned it from the start?

It was kinda a mix match of things. I wanted Voteil to be different, but still wanted him to look like he’d be related to his mother and Cynder. I didn’t want him to look too different, and this was before there were different breeds really. He was meant to be a soothsayer/fortune teller kind of character, and in the end making him a different breed but be able to mimic other breeds felt weird; good kind of weird lol.

This was actually the first time I colored Voteil! He was originally just black and silver (I still have multiples of this print actually… as well as these ones ). His design hasn’t changed much since then 8,D

BUT to answer your main question; Seuth’s are meant to be a strange kind of breed that isn’t like the others. Originally it wasn’t planned, and as I made more breeds, but as I made more breeds and had to fit the Seuths in, it was like a happy semi-accident. I want to delve more into the Seuths and their lore, but I gotta do that with so many other things just throw it on the pile 8)

I know you approve of fanart of your character if the said artist give you credit. But I was wondering if someone writes a fanfiction of your characters if they give you credit, would you be ok with it?

Oh totally! I definitely don’t mind fanfiction either, I still appreciate it just as much as art because I know how difficult writing can be XnX

Sorry if this sounds rude, but how does the skeleton of a Crailog work, especially the wings? They seem to bend at weird angles, and I’m not sure what’s supported by a skeleton and what’s membrane.

This is based in a world where there’s actual Gods and beasts with arm necks that can rip off other creatures heads to talk through. I wouldn’t try to think too hard on what’s possible and what’s not, it’s fantasy.

IF Spyro remasters are confirmed, Spyro will still be in Skylanders

saffronaura:

Chances are when a Spyro trilogy remaster is announced, Spyro fans will think Spyro will gone from Skylanders from then on.

“With Spyro back, he’ll be out of Skylanders now!”
“Yes! Spyro isn’t ruined anymore with his remasters announced! No more Skylanders cashgrabs!”
“My childhood is saved from the cancer that is Skylanders, even though I could still play the original Playstation versions!”

But then the Spyro fans discover or remember sometime later that Spyro is, and can, STILL be playable in potential future AND past Skylanders games. Not to mention Spyro is still a main character in the current and upcoming seasons of Season 2 and 3 of Netflix’s Skylanders Academy.

Both solo Spyro the Dragon games AND Skylanders games can coexist. There is nothing wrong with having both. Same goes for Crash Bandicoot and his remasters and his addition in the latest Skylanders game, Skylanders Imaginators.

Skylanders fans can have their Skylanders games, while Spyro fans and Crash fans can have their respective solo games too. No need to take away someone else’s childhood just to satisfy your own.
