Weirdlanders

Yup! @spookoofins and I are still working on them but we’ve got a good idea of what we’ll be going for. Though they’re going to be faaar less LoS/Skylander-ish and designed more with the original Kurosia universe in mind. Of course they’ll be integrated into WL but at the core, they’ll be made without the typical rules of LoS/Skylanders lore in mind.

Ahhahaa aw hon it’s fine! It’s a bit of a bag so I understand, and it can easily be glazed over as a joke but it IS actually more than that.

Havok and Luminous met in a battle where Luminous actually ends up deathly afraid of Havok. He can’t seem to beat him despite being a light elemental, so his greatest fear is the darkness, Havok’s main umbrella element, overtakes him. (I do plan on doing a thing for this 8,D)

Instead of killing him, Havok admires that he’s actually a light elemental that craves for evil; something he didn’t even think could be a thing. So immediately Havok is curious about him, and in place of killing him, offers Luminous a chance to join the largest evil empire and learn to harness the powers of darkness to his benefit, instead of fearing it. Luminous denies it at first, but Hov insists, promising that he’d protect him.

Luminous ends up agreeing, and in fear of being in the belly of the beast persay, clings to Havok quite a lot. Hov’s very calm about everything and eases Luminous into life in Kurosia, working for his family, and integrating among other villains. Because he’s tied to Havok, son of the Queen and Emperor, nobody threatens him in fear of Havok fighting back. A strike against Luminous was a strike against Havok, and a strike against him was a strike against the Empire.

Slowly Luminous grows to the life and even more slowly starts to lose his fear of the darkness thanks to his mentor and his carefree life. Havok in turn grows to like him as a close friend and workout buddy. This, however, is when Luminous starts to grow feelings for the hybrid and after years continues to be very secretive of it. Homosexuality wasn’t an okay thing in Light society, though his selfishness and crazed desire to destroy all darkness even at the cost of his fellow light elementals was most prevalent. Kurosia clearly gives no shits about sexuality or gender identity, and Havok quickly picks up on Luminous’ growing crush on him.

Instead of pushing him away or being a dick in general, Havok simply makes it clear he’s not into guys, and continues being friends with Luminous. Careful to not tease him on purpose, or when others tease them he shrugs it off. Havok values Luminous for more than his sexuality so for him, he continues to treat him as a good, close friend and Luminous tries his best to do the same. 

Things change when Havok marries Whisper and Luminous follows him to rule a separate kingdom, but that’s where the main of the blog is right now! I hope that clears things up ^u^

Oh yes, I have! I had plans the moment I got my business license, but I haven’t had the time to sit down and organize tiers and whatnot. Now that I’m trying to find a job I’m a bit worried that I won’t be able to do both commissions, AND produce enough work for a Patreon. If I can find a good balance I’ll be more serious about it X-X

Kurt and I are stubborn to a fault. We’re both aware of it, hell he’s refusing that I go get a job to help pick up his side of the bills and, if I have to, pay for his tests. 

But here’s the thing. I’m not the healthiest gal but I’m good enough to go out there and work. Doing art as a job is what I want to do, but what it does for now is make ends meet every month. I can go out there and earn money still. I can fight. I’ve had to do this before when Kurt legally couldn’t work (before he got his greencard, government really dragged it’s heels on us 8I ), I got off my tooshie and got a housekeeping job to pick up the bills while he did commissions to pay for his own groceries and whatnot. I did it before, I can do it again. 

I appreciate the thought, we both do. But we will do every possible thing we can before we have to ask for financial help. If we desperately need to, we will, but for now we have options. Thank you guys, tho ❤ ❤ ❤

aaaah yeah, I haven’t made posts about it here as much because it’s been a big ol’ bummer, but the pain in kurt’s side came back AND now he has a constant, painful pressure on his chest that sent him to the ER about a month ago. He had a test monday that said he had a blockage/obstruction in his intestines that’s pushing food back up into his stomach. He has more tests next week but we got the bill for his ER visit that’s costing him $4,000. He’s running out of funds for this so fast he won’t have enough money for more tests or whatever it takes to deal with what’s wrong with him.

We tried to get him healthcare coverage, but here’s a great thing about my country’s healthcare for immigrants. He legally can’t get healthcare until he’s had his greencard for five years; he’s had it for two. We’re applying for SOME sort of help but it’s looking more like I’ll have to go get a job to help cover bills soon. So, not only is his health getting worse, but we’re going to be unable to pay for the tests and whatnot, yaaaaay 8)

It’s bleak but it hasn’t broken us yet. If I have to I’ll eagerly take up a job to cover things, I’m able bodied (for now) to get a crappy job to cover what needs to be covered. Commissions and my situation has kept me being able to do a lot of personal stuff, on my days off I either sleep or doodle current obsessions to help keep me sane. I do have a handful of asks started and being worked on but they’re slow when I only take a couple days off a week.

I’m not into the RP blogs so i’m clueless there too. I’d love to be more artistically active here and my other blogs if I didn’t have to work my butt off to make ends meet while my husbando is still getting worse. Can’t speak for other blogs but life’s been kicking my ass for the past 7 months reeeeeeeal hard 8,D

YOOOOOOOOOO I’M SO PUMPED FOR IT YALL HAVE NO IDEA ;u; Fall just can’t come sooner ahahaha….or maybe it can wait I don’t wanna turn 27 juuuust yet 8,D

I know for sure the Cynder episode is in season two, so maybe her having more involvement will be nice! I’m mostly hoping for more character development, even for a kids show. I’m hoping they delve more into who Kaos’ mother was talking to (i’m like 98% sure it’s Malefor), maybe not revealing him just yet or until the very end to build him up as the big baddie he deserves. 

Also hoping for Dr.Krankcase to join in and maybe Luminous ;u;
