just wanted to share this with you if i could ^-^ its my mate as a Yinvaht Kuros. His element would be electricity and his job would be a scientist/alchemist where he uses his own electricity to power his machines. I think he looks super handsome 😀 Thank you for making such awesome dragons/breeds! its so inspiring >w<

Would the gods have intervened if bad stuff was going to happen to the Kuros? Like a message of some sort, or directly stopping the threat?

Kurosian Gods are fickle, fickle things. They fully believe in tough love, but it also depends on the God. Araudan is the ‘Loki’ of the Gods and is a big’ol trickster who stepped in when her favorite fishing village was being attacked. Araudan’s a weird fishy gal, she usually plays by her own rules more independently than the other Gods, but still favored by Mahoura despite since she’s still doing what she was made to do for the most part.

But take for an even bigger example; The Fall. Suancae’meith has some foresight abilities that she can lend to her people, but it’s not perfect, it doesn’t show everything and mostly only shows foresight dreams/allow kuros to revisit dead ones to the ones she finds worthy. The whole Malefor thing disrupted a LOT of shit, but none of the Gods knew what the direct threat will be to their people; they just knew something cataclysmic was coming. They didn’t know and telling their people SOMETHING BAD COMING WE DON’T KNOW WHAT THO isn’t helpful; they had to prep their people the best they can to help them survive in case something happened to them, whatever it was. 

The Kuros could, however, sense something bad was going on as their villages were slowly being overtaken, freaking them out more and more and leaving them desperate. 

So the Gods blessed the King and Queen with a Seuth in hopes he would develop his abilities fast enough to better predict what was about to happen, and help their people. 

BUT, we all know how that all panned out. Malefor found a way to force the Gods asleep, block off the Veil, and eliminate what Kuros he could.There’s a LOT more to it than that but that’s lore being described and thought over, not ready to be fully revealed yet.

Hmm….I wonder if they’re delaying Skylanders since something very special is coming for the 20th anniversary of you know who? Hehe

HONESTLY THAT’D BE REALLY COOL but I think it’s mostly because they seriously needed to take a step back and refocus themselves after Imaginators. They were poopin out a game each year, granted between two studios Vicarious Visions (I love dem <3) and Toys for Bob, but honestly the quality was getting stale. I loved the idea of Imaginators and the new things they did kind of try (like the overworld was neat!), but I did NOT like that game. It felt more like a chore then something to enjoy and have fun, doing the same puzzles over and over in the same formula. I honestly enjoyed the show a thousand times more than the game.

Maybe I was burning out on Skylanders but either way, it was a VERY smart business choice to take an extra year off to develop their next game. I just hope it shows, they bring new life to it, etc. If they even beef it up more for the anniversary, that’d be awesome! I just kinda doubt that’s why they delayed because… they were making a game every year, they woulda had one out that year too.

Have you ever thought about making a list of all the things you consider elements/powers that the Kuros can have? Maybe a spreadsheet? I think it would help some folks who are having difficulty finding a good element

Oh yes, definitely. I have a LOT of things I want to write out and am with @spookoofins on the info blog, doing the best I can to organize it while also making sure I make enough money per month with commissions 8,D

But for sure, the main elements of LoS are canon even in original Kurosian lore (I need to make a name for that verse) and Weirdlanders. Secondary elements are not as common but are possible for enhancing main abilities as long as it isn’t as strong as the main (example : Water/Fire where the dragon breathes scalding water).

APOLOGIES FOR TAKING SO LONG WITH THAT BLOG there is a LOT of stuff going into it, stuff not even mentioned on Weirdlanders. We’re doing our best to put as much lore into that blog as we possibly can in an organized, easy to read fashion before releasing it ;u;

What is the best way to find good marking ideas for the kuronium markings that the Shire have? How do you find d the markings for your babs?

Honestly I just doodle random shapes until something looks good 8,D Or, if I’m having a lot of trouble, I look at celtic knots/tribal tattoos to give me ideas. I hope that helps!

There’s something I’ve been curious about. Within your own cannon, what element would Cynder have been if she had not been corrupted and would that have changed her appearance at all to you?

I personally just love her original colors, like in her A New Beginning shades, but even in Weirdlander canon she’s black and red as her ‘birth’ colors. I headcanon her to look similar but not as crazy thin and sharp, but having anatomy more like Feuriah. In Weirdlanders she has her father’s eyes, but in LoS she has Feuriah’s eye color in that canon ^u^

Pretty much I draw all the LoS/Skylander characters in my own style now instead of trying to replicate whatever verse they come from. Cynder could possibly look a little different than what I’ve previously drawn her as but color wise, she’s a natural black and red Kurosian Shire gal 🙂
