Sure hon! I have a couple ways I do tears but, lately been just resorting to this way 🙂 Super fast and easy peasy!
1. I save tears for last, putting them above all the layers. I’ve tried linearting them but never was happy with how they looked -3-
2. I’ll use white and draw the tear streams in! If you have trouble making the tears look like tears, I suggest looking up references on google. Just good to do anyway! After I draw them in, I bump the Opacity down to 50%, but the percentage changes depending on the color of the character. Making the tears barely visible is good!
3. Last are the highlights and shadows! On their own layers, I put shadows beneath the main tear layer and the highlights are above the other three. Also adding more white in the eyes helps them seem more wet.
