Kurosian Fan Breed: The Himuldrafiur

Species: Himuldrafiur

Description: Like a Yinvaht, Himuldrafiur is a feathered Kuros, but you can see the differences between them. They are not rare and rather common breed. Legends says, that Mahoura created this breed in order to not let Light and Good to escape and hide in the sky.

Characteristics: They are rather thin and long dragons, a little taller than Yinvaht. Their bones are made of lightweight kuronium to make more easier to fly. Himuldrafiur are owners of bird-like or angel-like wings. Head, neck, back, tail (fully or not), ear shells (if they got them) and back of limbs are covered in large, medium or small feathers (behind the lower jaw there can be feathers too). Their snouts are longer than Yinvaht. Their eyes haven’t irises nor pupils, but that doesn’t mean that they are blind. They are the fast and enduring flyers, if not the best in all Kurosia, learning fast to fly from early age. For the most part, they spend their time in the air. They have excellent eyesight and they can notice the target, regardless of the weather and time.

Behavior: These Kuros are the most calmest of the breeds, it doesn’t mean, that they aren’t feel nothing at all, they just hiding they feels behind professional poker face, even from an early age.

Elements:

Most common: Air

Common: Water, fire, electricity, poison

Uncommon: Ice, fear, shadow, magic

Rare: Earth, nature, metal

Professions (the most common): Dancers, singers, spies and guards (from above), leaders of scientific expeditions (they can also participate in it), teachers (flight training).

Also:

~ They all have high voices.

~ Prefer to breed with someone from their own breed, but it doesn’t mean they can’t with others.

~ Can’t tolerate the alcohol at all.

(I hope their design haven’t gone too far adfsfnfhzvs ;_;)

OOC : Daaaaayum son! These are some well thought out babs, a close kin to Yinvaht but different and unique in the best ways, so they stand on their own well! Love the lore, and the professions/abilities make sense! I flippin adore, great work ;u;

Kurosian Fan Breed: The Fautok

This brute came to me in a dream and I had to do something with this design ;w; So I made a fankuros breed, hope that’s alright. This particular fella’s name is Reiztor Bhreon’vok (RISE-tor bray-on-vock)

Species: Fautok (lit. Giant) (FOW-tock)

Characteristics: The Fautok, as true to their name, absolute titans of dragons built for mining and living underground. They have sloping backs, low-hung heads, muscular bodies and tails that drag on the ground.  The few who have seen them describe them as walking mountains. They are completely lacking in wings, with two armored spikes where their wings would have been. They have pointed tooth-like kuronium growths on the outside of their mouths as well as an impressive set of long razor-sharp teeth. Their mouths can open incredibly wide and their bites are deadly powerful; they have been known to chomp Uka clean in half with a single bite. They have keen night vision (everything they see is shades of green), so it’s almost impossible for an Uka to hypnotize them.

Society: Of all the Kuros breeds these dragons live the most apart from the society as a whole, preferring the solitude and darkness of the catacombs and mines beneath Kurosia to taking part in most ceremonies. They are so rarely seen or acknowledged that it’s entirely possible that the Kuros living above ground have completely forgotten about this breed, legends or otherwise. On top of that, the dialect they speak is so far removed from the common language that it’s barely Kurosian at all. When the Fautok speak, their dialect gives them a Spanish-sounding accent.

These dragons feed on cave-dwelling Uka, mushrooms, moss, and natural water reserves found in the deepest recesses of their mines.

What is known about them is that they are believed to be the offspring of the fire Olfur’Yekhshir Dóitanam, presumed to be the daughter of Wunjabrot, to bring the endless riches hidden deep within the caves and mines of the Kurosian mountains to distribute amongst the people.

Behavior

These Kuros are the most fearless of the breeds; not because they’re interested in battle or honor but because they are simply that apathetic. The Fautok are completely incapable of feeling or understanding fear. They could not possibly care less about anything. They see a wall, they literally walk right through it. They need to clear a forest for a farm, they simply push the tree over.

In contrast to this they are quite intuitive and can sense a person’s motives just by looking at them.  One of them, Reiztor Bhreon’vok, immediately took a dislike to Kurogh after they found out he was king; not because he was selfish, but Reiztor just had a bad feeling about him.  Of course Kurogh didn’t like this and tried to fire a Fear Arrow at him, but the attack literally bounced off Reiztor’s head with a helpless little ‘boink’ sound.

They are not indestructible however, as the space just below their throat is the most vulnerable part of them. Not only that, but if they get into deep water they will sink like a stone, as their bodies are just too heavy and their sheer mass makes it impossible for them to swim.

The Fautok are very aware of their apathy and as a result these dragons do not fraternize freely with the Kuros of the surface for several reasons: First off, they know full well they have an unfair physical advantage against all other Kuros, even Brokt. Because they are incapable of feeling fear, they don’t take part in the royal tournaments. Ever.  They would win far too easily and lead their people into wars and for no other reason than because they can. Secondly, they view their existence as simply being ‘there’ and believe that the Kurosian people do not need them.

Abilities

In spite of being miners, the Fautok are often associated with the Fire element. These Kuros have the bizarre (and more than a little horrifying) ability to melt parts of their own skeleton into their gut and hack it up in molten form on top of their enemies. This odd power also leaves them with miraculously fast healing. This also makes it easier for Kurosian armor to be melted down and reworked, as sickening as it is.

They are also very capable fire elementals, as their breath is deadly hot and can reach hundreds of feet. When they so rarely surface to interact with their people, they are often put on the front lines of battle to act as the vanguard. Their borderline indestructibility, fearlessness and elemental power is perfect for such ventures.

When not engaged in battle, the Fautok usually take up blacksmithing, mining, construction, and clearing of land for farming.

The Fall of Kurosia

The Fautok had returned into hiding immediately after Malefor entered the city. Whilst not being having prophetic abilities of any sort, they were convinced that Feuriah was the foretold warrior of purple that would save their people. They sensed the Queen’s distrust and the rest of their people’s blind fascination and adoration of him, the Fautok knew there would be no changing their minds regarding this purple brute. Under the guise of returning to their homes underground to mine for more treasures, the Fautok left. Only a handful of other Kuros left with them, and there is no telling if they survived or not.

Neither Reiztor, the Fautok, or their fellow escapees were ever seen again; It’s entirely possible that they still remain hidden deep within the mines beneath the city, completely oblivious to the tragedy that befell the people above ground but it can’t be certain. Unless they are seen returning from their mines it’s safe to assume that only Queen Feuriah is left.

OOC : HOLY SHIT, DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD move aside Brokt there’s a new king in town! OuO Jebus, I freakn’ adore these babs. They hella smart too, such kickass dragons. I wish I had better works to describe how much I love this without keyboard smashing, but I am at a loss;alsdkfja;lsdkfja;lsdkfjalsdkjf

kuroduo:

Beklijvendeoyne(Haunting eyes?)

They are a sup-species of Kurosian Dragons thus possessing black scales and Kuronium bones. The most defining feature being blade-like claws and extra set of eyes. Their scythe claws are often extremely sharp as they avoid using them unless necessary. Strong and furious, looking into their eyes could scare someone stiff. Hell, some say it could even turn you to stone.

Abilities

Oyne seem to have some power over the Fear element but very rarely is it utilized are a “breath” attack. Inject Fear from cuts and eye contact. They show little potential in other elements. Legends say that exceptionally strong Oyne could turn enemies to stone. No one has witness this.

Extra set of eyes can tract and detect magic and heat but can’t see normally.

Fast on land or in the air.

Scissor sharp beaks and deathly sharp scythes.

Magic Resistance scales.

Society

Unlike there Kuro cousins Oyne focus less on spreading Evil and more on their own Selfishness. Thus they often have fewer rules. But do not make the mistake of thinking them friendly or indifferent. Outsiders, while not immediately killed, are put to quite a bit scrutiny and maybe verbally and physically harassed with no to little provocation. Like most Kuro they think that anything thats not them as lesser. Other Kuros often think they were wasting their potential, mind if the Kuro even knew they were a thing. They aren’t really a secret but they are not often relevant to anything. Some kuro royalty and generals have tried to enlist their help in warfare ( some by force) but have come back disappointed or not come back at all.

Oyne can mostly be found in groups of around 10 which are called murders that are fairly nomadic. But in the last hundred years one Oyne, known as Queen Rieper as gathered a following of at less a thousand, which the smaller groups call the Mass Murder. There is only ever one leader in a group and fights over who is top dog can breakout at any time and usually happens more the larger a murder becomes. Queen Rieper could only amass such a large gang only because of her immense strength along with her unnaturally sharp scythe. So sharp that she has been seen cutting off the claws of her opponents. Only the brave and stupid dare challenge her.

While Oyne usually lack markings, they will wear makeup, warpaint, or tattoos. Bright colors are wore by the leader and anyone caught wearing colors as bright or brighter then the leader will be considered a challenger.

Personalities

Most Oyne are quite gossipy and are rather nosy. They don’t mess a chance to out someone or talk about them behind their back. Self-centeredness is common placed. Compassion stays mostly inside a murder.

Workplace

The Kuros that would visit the Mass Murder hoped to use them as soldiers and assassins.

Trivia

  • Oyne are made with a bit of raptor, mantis and spider. A tiny bit of basilisk for flavor.
  • Beaks and blades can take many different shapes and take years to be honed into something the owner likes.
  • Common selfishness and lack of warfare means that Oyne breed little and live longer.
  • They sharpen their blades often to the point where in many its a common tick. Usually done in anger and nervousness.
