Kurosian Fan Breed: The Himuldrafiur

Species: Himuldrafiur

Description: Like a Yinvaht, Himuldrafiur is a feathered Kuros, but you can see the differences between them. They are not rare and rather common breed. Legends says, that Mahoura created this breed in order to not let Light and Good to escape and hide in the sky.

Characteristics: They are rather thin and long dragons, a little taller than Yinvaht. Their bones are made of lightweight kuronium to make more easier to fly. Himuldrafiur are owners of bird-like or angel-like wings. Head, neck, back, tail (fully or not), ear shells (if they got them) and back of limbs are covered in large, medium or small feathers (behind the lower jaw there can be feathers too). Their snouts are longer than Yinvaht. Their eyes haven’t irises nor pupils, but that doesn’t mean that they are blind. They are the fast and enduring flyers, if not the best in all Kurosia, learning fast to fly from early age. For the most part, they spend their time in the air. They have excellent eyesight and they can notice the target, regardless of the weather and time.

Behavior: These Kuros are the most calmest of the breeds, it doesn’t mean, that they aren’t feel nothing at all, they just hiding they feels behind professional poker face, even from an early age.

Elements:

Most common: Air

Common: Water, fire, electricity, poison

Uncommon: Ice, fear, shadow, magic

Rare: Earth, nature, metal

Professions (the most common): Dancers, singers, spies and guards (from above), leaders of scientific expeditions (they can also participate in it), teachers (flight training).

Also:

~ They all have high voices.

~ Prefer to breed with someone from their own breed, but it doesn’t mean they can’t with others.

~ Can’t tolerate the alcohol at all.

(I hope their design haven’t gone too far adfsfnfhzvs ;_;)

OOC : Daaaaayum son! These are some well thought out babs, a close kin to Yinvaht but different and unique in the best ways, so they stand on their own well! Love the lore, and the professions/abilities make sense! I flippin adore, great work ;u;

Official Fan-Breed List

Hey yall!

I finally made a listing on the actual Kuros tag listing the fan-breeds! Please, pleeeeeeeeeease lemme know if I missed any, i’ll be going thru my blog now that I have my days off to make sure I don’t miss anybody. But if I do, please let me know so I can put you down!

Also, let me know if you are okay with people making fan-kuros of that breed! I will put down if it’s okay or not by the name, but the breed’s credit is totally given to it’s creators.

Kurosian Fan Breed: The Fautok

This brute came to me in a dream and I had to do something with this design ;w; So I made a fankuros breed, hope that’s alright. This particular fella’s name is Reiztor Bhreon’vok (RISE-tor bray-on-vock)

Species: Fautok (lit. Giant) (FOW-tock)

Characteristics: The Fautok, as true to their name, absolute titans of dragons built for mining and living underground. They have sloping backs, low-hung heads, muscular bodies and tails that drag on the ground.  The few who have seen them describe them as walking mountains. They are completely lacking in wings, with two armored spikes where their wings would have been. They have pointed tooth-like kuronium growths on the outside of their mouths as well as an impressive set of long razor-sharp teeth. Their mouths can open incredibly wide and their bites are deadly powerful; they have been known to chomp Uka clean in half with a single bite. They have keen night vision (everything they see is shades of green), so it’s almost impossible for an Uka to hypnotize them.

Society: Of all the Kuros breeds these dragons live the most apart from the society as a whole, preferring the solitude and darkness of the catacombs and mines beneath Kurosia to taking part in most ceremonies. They are so rarely seen or acknowledged that it’s entirely possible that the Kuros living above ground have completely forgotten about this breed, legends or otherwise. On top of that, the dialect they speak is so far removed from the common language that it’s barely Kurosian at all. When the Fautok speak, their dialect gives them a Spanish-sounding accent.

These dragons feed on cave-dwelling Uka, mushrooms, moss, and natural water reserves found in the deepest recesses of their mines.

What is known about them is that they are believed to be the offspring of the fire Olfur’Yekhshir Dóitanam, presumed to be the daughter of Wunjabrot, to bring the endless riches hidden deep within the caves and mines of the Kurosian mountains to distribute amongst the people.

Behavior

These Kuros are the most fearless of the breeds; not because they’re interested in battle or honor but because they are simply that apathetic. The Fautok are completely incapable of feeling or understanding fear. They could not possibly care less about anything. They see a wall, they literally walk right through it. They need to clear a forest for a farm, they simply push the tree over.

In contrast to this they are quite intuitive and can sense a person’s motives just by looking at them.  One of them, Reiztor Bhreon’vok, immediately took a dislike to Kurogh after they found out he was king; not because he was selfish, but Reiztor just had a bad feeling about him.  Of course Kurogh didn’t like this and tried to fire a Fear Arrow at him, but the attack literally bounced off Reiztor’s head with a helpless little ‘boink’ sound.

They are not indestructible however, as the space just below their throat is the most vulnerable part of them. Not only that, but if they get into deep water they will sink like a stone, as their bodies are just too heavy and their sheer mass makes it impossible for them to swim.

The Fautok are very aware of their apathy and as a result these dragons do not fraternize freely with the Kuros of the surface for several reasons: First off, they know full well they have an unfair physical advantage against all other Kuros, even Brokt. Because they are incapable of feeling fear, they don’t take part in the royal tournaments. Ever.  They would win far too easily and lead their people into wars and for no other reason than because they can. Secondly, they view their existence as simply being ‘there’ and believe that the Kurosian people do not need them.

Abilities

In spite of being miners, the Fautok are often associated with the Fire element. These Kuros have the bizarre (and more than a little horrifying) ability to melt parts of their own skeleton into their gut and hack it up in molten form on top of their enemies. This odd power also leaves them with miraculously fast healing. This also makes it easier for Kurosian armor to be melted down and reworked, as sickening as it is.

They are also very capable fire elementals, as their breath is deadly hot and can reach hundreds of feet. When they so rarely surface to interact with their people, they are often put on the front lines of battle to act as the vanguard. Their borderline indestructibility, fearlessness and elemental power is perfect for such ventures.

When not engaged in battle, the Fautok usually take up blacksmithing, mining, construction, and clearing of land for farming.

The Fall of Kurosia

The Fautok had returned into hiding immediately after Malefor entered the city. Whilst not being having prophetic abilities of any sort, they were convinced that Feuriah was the foretold warrior of purple that would save their people. They sensed the Queen’s distrust and the rest of their people’s blind fascination and adoration of him, the Fautok knew there would be no changing their minds regarding this purple brute. Under the guise of returning to their homes underground to mine for more treasures, the Fautok left. Only a handful of other Kuros left with them, and there is no telling if they survived or not.

Neither Reiztor, the Fautok, or their fellow escapees were ever seen again; It’s entirely possible that they still remain hidden deep within the mines beneath the city, completely oblivious to the tragedy that befell the people above ground but it can’t be certain. Unless they are seen returning from their mines it’s safe to assume that only Queen Feuriah is left.

OOC : HOLY SHIT, DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD move aside Brokt there’s a new king in town! OuO Jebus, I freakn’ adore these babs. They hella smart too, such kickass dragons. Appearance:Kalthea is a typical Shire male with silver horns that resemble those of a bull, which match the markings on either side of his shoulders that bear the likeness of said animal’s skull. He has deep blue eyes that are the same color of the upright mane that runs from the top of his head to just below his shoulders.

History:

Kalthea was born to a Shire father, who served as a soldier in the Kurosian army, and a Brokt mother, who worked as a blacksmith. Both his parents were intensely dedicated to their professions, wanting nother more than to better their people’s lives. Each saw the patriotism burning in the other’s hearts, leading them to consider the possibilty of providing an offspring in order to combine their strengths so that their beloved city might be further empowered. So it was that Druadach Bruca’Vok and Illinalta Rannveig’Vel entered the tournmanets to see if they were capable of being mates. Neither could best the other in combat, earning them the right to breed. Kalthea’s egg was laid not long after Feuriah arrived in Kurosia.

Kalthea was unsure at first what to choose as a career. He considered being a soldier, but they often travelled far away from home and he preferred to remain in Kurosia. Becoming a blacksmith also did not seem right to him, as much as he admired his mother for it. Then one day, as he observed the guards patrolling the streets, something in his mind clicked. They protected Kurosia just as much as the soldiers, but stayed within its walls for the most part. Soon after he set off on the path to enter their ranks. It was not easy, as one would expect, the young dragon being pushed to his utmost limit in mind, body, and soul. His love for Kurosia and its people fuelled his every step, though, and despite the harsh training he succeeded.

Like his parents before him, Kalthea was devoted to serving the inhabitants of Kurosia, admiring Feuriah most of all. That was to say he did not repsect Kurogh, but the older male made him uneasy whenever Kalthea saw him. This feeling only increased when Malefor arrived and the King treated him as a god. Something about the purple dragon didn’t seem right, although Kalthea didn’t quite know why. The young guard knew very well to keep his mouth shut, trying to ignore the dread that filled his heart. When Malefor betrayed them Kalthea was horrified to see the home he loved so much being destroyed. He threw himself into the fray, using all his might to defend his people, but was ultimately defeated.

He to see Kurosia charred and smoking, the corpses of his fellow dragons almost barely recognizable after they had been mangled by Malefor’s army. Kalthea was confused that he was still alive, until he glanced down at himself and nearly screamed. He could clearly see his skeleton, which meant that he had indeed passed away. Kalthea wished for the sight to go away, causing his form to shimmer until he resembled his living form again. He stood there for a moment before picking his way through the remnants of the city, hoping to perhaps find another ghost like himself, or perhaps even a survivor. Kalthea did indeed find another spirit, but rage and hate emanated from it. The being began to attack him, and Kalthea fled to the castle, the only place that might still be safe.

Years passed as he roamed its ancient halls, fortunate to rarely encounter another malevolent ghost. He often wondered why he had not ended up like the others. Sometimes he thought perhaps the gods had intervened, but that was unlikely. They did not help the Kurosians when Malefor attacked. Kalthea doubted they would ignore such a situation yet aid him. Still, now and then he would pray to them, hoping that in their slumber they would hear his pleas and answer him. He had began to lose hope when he saw someone he had given up ever seeing again.

At first Kalthea thought the dragon before him was either a ghost or an illusion. When he saw a short, bald human communicating with her he relized she was very much alive. He wanted to run to her and tell her how thrilled he was to see her again. Then Kalthea remembered she might not even be able to hear him. Besides, even if she did, the ghost was not sure how his Queen would react. It was an all to real possibilty that she might be highly upset at seeing one of her fallen subjects. He learned from the conversations between her and the human that a group called the Skylanders had failed to help the Kurosians. This caused him to develop a deep dislike for them, remembering all to well what had happened to his city because of their neglect.

Kalthea continues to watch Feuriah, as well as her family, from a distance, trying to assist them in any way he can without revelaing that he is there. He desperately hopes they will be able to defeat the Skylanders and restore Kurosia to its former glory. Until then, he lurks among the shadows, happy to have a purpose once more.

                                    **********************

I’ve been looking at @weirdhyenas Skylander blog @weirdlanders and have become quite intersted in the Kuros. I admit, not once have I ever played Skylanders and the only Spyro games I focused on were the orginal game and “Ripto’s Rage”. Still, I couldn’t help but make a Kuros of my own. The names of his parents are taken from the “Elder Scrolls” universe, while his is drawn from Superman.I used Feuriah’s profile as a guide, athough in no way did I intend to copy anything. Please forgive me, Ms.Weird, if I got something wrong. 🙂

spotlights-blog:

WYVERNZ: Ladies and gentlemen…. This is Mehp. A kuros of the new craolig breed. She was only six years and lived all by herself in a barrel. She had a broken speech and talkd in the third person. She can be seen in random locations in kurosia. No one knew where she came from or if she had parent or not, But one thing is for certain… Mehp was a weirdo.

Kuros/Craolig: @weirdlanders/ @pepper-peen-queen

Character: Me

OOC : Omg Mehp is bae

Kurosia: Icy blep

rusdoodle:

I know that Kuros crossbreeds do not mix up usually, but here the gods decided to have fun :3c

– He was found alone, as a whelp, and it’s unknown whether his parents left him or were killed; thus grew up in the orphanage.

At first some Kuros kids were making fun of him for his unusual
appearance, but unlike [pure] Craoligs, he could fight back, and his paw
hit rather heavily. He preferred some mind-taking games, where one
needed strategy.
– Isundr combined the strength of Brokt and mind of
Craolig, and with shadow as his main element he blended with
surroundings easily.
– He was a part of army due to his build (maybe as one of advicers/tacticians).

Did he apply for courtship? Maybe, since he wouldn’t mind additional training, but probably never ended up picking a partner.
I’d imagine Craolig ladies swarm around though, lmao… like this:

@weirdlanders

OOC : He is beauty, he is grace. He is Mr.Steal yo gurl

this guy is too much I love him
