Did The Kuros allow matings with non Kuros Dragons? And if so did they have to perform any tasks etc to be allowed the right?

Lost Queen : I actually just recently provided a similar answer to this, as seen here, but in general it was only permitted for those of the Court (Warlords, Royal Scribes, etc.) to be married out to other clans. Reproduction often solidified the alliance, but it wasn’t always required (as some marriages were of the same gender/sex to symbolize unity without the need to produce biological offspring) unless the alliance agreement demanded it.

What if a Kuros did not want to be evil? Kuros supposedly take pride in it, but is there such a case where a Kuros did not agree with the majority of its race and even protested it?

Lost Queen : Some did, yes. Those that so viciously fought against us and shamed our people were either put to death, or banished depending on the King and Queen.

Though… those that were banished for choosing the side of good ran a very, very high risk of death once they pierced the Veil. No longer akin to darkness, as well as the beacon of the Mark, they were like wounded prey for Breithonakt to feast upon. Not all Riaocht’Nol  were devoured by Breithonakt, sometimes he chose to let them go, but those that betrayed their people to fight for all that was good almost never left the Veil again.

Cynder is the only Riaocht’Nol I’ve ever known that’s made it out of the Veil alive.

What about kuros that didn’t want to become something fighting related? Like for example one kuros wanted to become a baker or a kindergarten teacher or a brewer or something like that. How was that looked upon?

Lost Queen : No shame in that! Some Kuros with lots of military in their family could have been disappointed in an offspring that went into such a profession, but as a whole the Kurosian people loved their own despite their choices. As long as you were loyal to the People, did your best for them, you were valued and loved. Not all thought that way, but most did. As most SHOULD have.

If killing another kuros outside of mating rituals is seen as betrayal, how do you guys take revenge? Is it mostly done by cunning or do you show mercy towards other kuros?

Lost Queen : Revenge isn’t for other Kuros, though we do jail our own kind for some crimes and are punished depending on them. Those that commit too many crimes against their own people can be banished, and if the Kuros they betrayed wished it, they can go hunt them down and kill them without punishment.

What did the mark of betrayal look like?

Lost Queen : It wasn’t really something you could see, as auras are more often than not invisible. It was something you could feel more than see, though those very skillful of Aura Magics often said that the markings differ on how they were bestowed. Some said they looked like slash marks torn into one’s Aura, though most often said it simply left a void in the aura in the shape of the symbol of the Riaocht’Nol.

Those marked give off a very alarming, appalling, shocking feeling to Kuros near them. It’s an incredibly unique feeling that only the Riaocht’Nol give off.

You said that a Kuros can be banished for a betrayal or a sin. What did Kurosians see as an act of betrayal? Was romantic love also treated this way? And what is the word for an “outlaw” in Kuroian?

Lost Queen : There were quite a few things that could be seen as a betrayal. Going against our ways such as pursuing romantic love, murdering a fellow Kuros outside of the mating rites tournaments, fighting agains’t your people (switching sides to fight for good), the list goes on.

Those that were banished were known as Raiocht’Nol (Ray-Oct-Nall). It doesn’t quite translate to outlaw, but rather just a Kuros cursed with the Mark of Betrayal ( Comhith’Dol Raiocht).

Back when the Kuro city was heavily populated could any of the Kuros have cross bred children or half bloods of other species?

Lost Queen : Such an act was only for Kuros of high status, as we did often did marriages to form pacts with other clans and species. Reproducing would often seal the pact, and insure that Kuros and their kind were a wise joint. Those that bred outside the species and where NOT given proper permission were either stripped of all status, jailed, banished, or killed.

Ruudtal’s skills and abilities:

Ruudtal is a strong flier with ambitions to be a sliverwing. Fast and light Ruudtal usually avoids close combat and it keeps her from using her strong attacks as they need a little distance less she hurts herself.  She focuses her aura to either her forward facing horns or her tail in which then she can fire off a ball or and beam. Strong swimmer as well. Experience as a blacksmith.

Attacks/Defense:

Fire Breath:  What one would expect of a dragon. Breath in breath out. Goes out a short distance not very strong. Often used as a shield.

Landing Sweep: When trying to land near a enemy she tucks her legs in and tries to knock the legs out from under them with her wings.

Star Fire Blast: Forces super heated aura through her horns into a bright ball of light when its at the desirable strength and size fires it a long distance. Explodes on contact.

Armor:

Light Kurosian armor embedded with blood gems. She does not don this armor lightly as it one of only one left of its kind and carries a lot of sentimentally value. Made just for her by a special friend and herself. ???

Weaknesses:

Ruudtal is a weak close combat fighter.

Getting distracted while charging her Star Fire Blast can cause it to denote in her face, hurting her.

Can’t use her fire underwater.

On the other claw, criticism will be responded to in one of three ways: if from someone she sees as beneath her will end in a beating guaranteed, if from on equal standing and worthy of respect will greeted with a sneer and some unkind words, but if it comes for a individual that she looks up to it will usually result in tears. She hates crying. She hate hearing it and she hates doing it. That is why she tries so hard to be her best cause anything less results in tears.
