OOC – OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO This came out so wonderful, I can’t stop gawking at it! A huge, HUGE thank you for nidhoggrthedragonessover on dA for doing such an amazing job with Athrenna ;u;
Lost Queen : Seuth’s were very, very rare among our people, and were hard to document due to their rarity. But, from what we knew, Seuths were the only breed that could appear as other breeds. Take for example, my son, Voteil. He had the appearance of a Shire, like myself, but was Seuth. He even had a liking to crustaceans, like most frilled Shires do. I can’t honestly say why, as for what I said, the Seuth were heavily under-documented.
Lost Queen : Was that Burdohk was HUGE. He towered over others, and he was all muscle and strength. Brokt Kuros tended to be big dragons on their own, but spirits Burdohk was massive. Half the time, he didn’t have to resort to using his earth powers in battle, he’d use his brawn to overcome others.
Lost Queen : The most common? Fire, magic, water, earth, the usual elements mostly. The most odd though, there was this one Kuros that could only make fire go out. Not cause fire, not breathe it, just boom no more fire.
Lost Queen : That was the norm for us, unless it was mating season (we could only conceive during that time). Having romantic feelings for the other was the no-no.
Lost Queen : Not really, I was willing to be paired with any male deemed worthy to rule our people. I didn’t care much for Kurogh, but I truly started to despise him after he stated his disappointment in our son. Only then did I hope another male would come along and beat him, many tried but unfortunately he stayed King.
Lost Queen : Well there was Talv, but he was the only one I knew of. Very, very mellow dragon from what I remember, worked in the blacksmithing forge down in the city. Beautiful horns, but he didn’t seem to thrilled about them…er, or anything. His family came from a cave-dwelling tribe deep in the Kurosian mountains rumored to have been slain by a pack of Uka, but he, like many who come from slain clans, didn’t speak about it. He seemed to have a sense of humor though, he was really good at telling jokes with a straight face.
Talv is the most fabulous dragon you will ever see! Look at His horns!! THEY ARE MADE FROM RAINBOW!!!!!
OOC : OH MY GAWD I NEVER SAW THIS HOLY SHIT IT’S BEAUTIFUL
Lost Queen : I’m about… 210 years old give or take, but sadly… I only ruled for a measly 30 years before Kurosia fell. Though, we Kuros *typically* live for 450+ years, we’re usually killed before we age past that. There were some that were older, I knew a couple of Kuros in their 700s believe it or not. The dragon equivalent of my age is my early 30s if it helps.
Though technically I’m over 300 years old since I was frozen in emeralds for a hundred years, but I wouldn’t count that as I haven’t shown signs of growing to that age. I’d be much larger if I was in my 300s… ignoring the fact that um… I am smaller than most Kuros my age -n-‘
Voteil : Not all the spirits in the city are crazed, however. Some are just spirits locked in a forever loop of their final days. If you wait by certain places, stand completely still, the spirits will visibly act out their day! Just um… don’t interact with them. If they pick up something is off, that attracts the bad ghosts…
Lost Queen : The Mahourian Brothers and Sisters were the most holy of all the priests and priestesses. Mahoura was believed to be our first God, therefor, the mother of all the other Gods and of us as a species. She is not the most powerful, but the most sacred.
To be a brother or sister within the walls of Mahoura’s temple is to completely give yourself to her teachings and to your people in a way most Kurosians could not. They dedicated their lives to the scriptures to educate our people of not just Mahoura, but also the Yehkshir and basic knowledge of the other Gods. The lead priest or priestess had a chair in the Dark Circle, which consisted of all the lead religious heads of each temple to provide the King and Queen advice and offer their services for battles.
To give yourself to the temple is incredibly noble and admirable, and to be honest… if I could not become Queen, I would have either worked to be a Scribe of the court, or a Mahourian Sister.
Mahourian brothers and sisters did not fight in war. Instead, they’d linger at the camps to help give wounded soldiers moral support, and to fill them with Mahoura’s love and essence. They would also help end suffering of those soldiers too wounded to survive.
They were not chosen by Mahoura persay, nor are they granted with special abilities. Rather, it’s an incredible love of their own people. Those that wish nothing more than to preserve what was our people, and to help them, became Mahourian. The Mahourian temple was also very closely linked to hospitals and other healing factions, such as medical education and colleges. Most doctors were Mahourian, but not all.
