Athrenna grew up in Shinnan, a major fishing village by the Black Sea. Being raised in a working class family, she was shown how to fish at a very early age. It was one of her favorite things to do, and since it also fed and earned her family money, she was usually found soaring above the water. Athrenna was very playful, friendly, but being raised in a large family taught her how to also fight and stand up for herself. 

She didn’t have big dreams, nor felt any tug to leave her village. She loved it, it’s people, and her life. Athrenna would often try to provoke Araudan to play with her, though the trickster Goddess didn’t seem to reply. As a child, she thought if she stuck by the water and tried enough, maybe one day Araudan would play.

The blue in her feathers didn’t appear until her late teens, and due to an attempted catch of a fish she lost a baby tooth early. She had a humble, but happy childhood!

Yoldahr live within the peaks of Kurosia, among their own living barbaric lives. They have long sworn off communications with their mother species and gods. However they knew attacking random Kuros would warrent giant hunts, and Yoldahr live in small groups. Yoldahr only attack Kuros when they feel threatened, and most Kuros tend to avoid the battles with them. 

Some Kuros will hunt them to prove themselves. Yoldahr aren’t considered Kuros since they had long sworn off protecting the balance and their Gods, they are well known for killing their own, so there’s no real punishment for attacking Yoldahr beyond it being dangerous and possibly troublesome if the Yoldahr clan lives near trading routes. Yoldahr venom can be injected and used as a breath, which can melt even Kuros scales.

Kurosia : Breithonakt’s Judgement

With the new season of Vikings starting up, I felt a bit inspired to do original Kuros lore stuff! I had a handful of sketches, but I ended up liking the Breith one enough to work on it the most. I wanted to show his sheer size, those being full grown dragons he’s peepin on! He’s usually covered by the Veil way better than this, he doesn’t like to be seen (big ol’ metal drama noodle he is). His body is covered in the skeletons of Kuros/hybrids that didn’t make it past the Veil in which Breithonakt guards, and it looks like he’s about to add some more >:D

But I made another fan kuros! A kuros is a species of dragon created by @pepper-peen-queen 

She’s a shire breed of kuros I don’t have a name for her yet, I’m really bad at creating kurosian sounding names ;w; I’ll probably just refer to her as crystal for now since I thought the idea of having bloodgems set into her scales was a kinda cool idea kinda like those under skin body mods

Well my kuros baby is back… and with her own baby. I finally named the feathered one Avelyn as she almost did make (her mom almost died too) in egg laying. However she is not a Yinvaht. She is a unique species whose name means “the eyes of Mahoura” because Mahoura is her primary deity. Her child shown isn’t named bit is also a new species. She has crystallized Kuronium growing as chest plates and as hems adorning her. Hence her species name means “The Crown Jewel” or something like that. I will make species ref sheets eventually. Pardon any spelling errors

Oh daaaaaaaaayum I’m a sucker for black scleras so I loves her already ;u; Very nice babs, I dig the crystallized kuronium!

just wanted to share this with you if i could ^-^ its my mate as a Yinvaht Kuros. His element would be electricity and his job would be a scientist/alchemist where he uses his own electricity to power his machines. I think he looks super handsome 😀 Thank you for making such awesome dragons/breeds! its so inspiring >w<
