Something I really do not understand about the Lost Queen… She knows the pain of losing home, friends, family, children. And yet she keeps trying to put people that has done nothing to her through the same pain she herself went through. Doesn’t the thought of a mother Mabu or any other species crying over a child they lost because of one of her attacks on the Skylands ever bother her ?

OOC : One thing to keep in mind, is that she is a villain. She takes pride in being one, as her race believes they were born to be evil to keep balance.

Feur herself is a mess after the fall. The event really scrambled her, yet she still tries to stay true to what her people would have wanted. But she is very much a hypocrite, not that she thinks she is. Yes, she knows the pain, but the reason why she does it to others is because that is her job. The Kuros saw being evil as contribution to the universe and keeping it in balance. She was raised to think like that, especially after ‘the good guys’ of Warfang showed her just how flawed the ideals of the good are.

So, she has little issue doing that to others because she feels that it is her place to. Not many villains have the gull to do the things the Kuros had to do, which was why they were so feared. They would even go after other villains who became too out of control.

Another thing I don’t know that really comes out about Feuriah’s character, is that to her people, Feuriah was actually considered mentally weak. In the way that she does care too much, she has too much heart. Why?

  • She cries at funerals. In Kurosian custom, that’s a social no no. Death isn’t meant to be seen as something bad, but rather one is meant to feel joy and pride and funerals are a show of gratitude of their life. Feuriah cries at them as she felt so emotionally close, and that is seen as weak and selfish.
  • Feuriah loves babies. She could never bring herself to hurt children. That’s probably one thing that has carried over from her personal experiences. Kuros, however, did kill offspring as it is something most other villains won’t do, yet it is a thing that must happen in order to eliminate a city. As a child, when she leads the attack on Warfang, she lets the children escape despite her hatred for the city. The Kuros didn’t know this, as she had to use a Guardian to distract them just so the children could escape. During war attacks, Feur has to hide the fact that she wont kill eggs or children, and when she is Queen, Kurogh is the one that handles most war situations which leaves Feuriah more freedom to hide this.
  • Feuriah fell in love. Most Kuros despise the idea and of course, find it a poison of the mind and soul. Kaos was the first person she realized she was in love with, however, she actually did love before. Her first ‘love’, was Kruta. She went to school with him and the two were almost best friends, eventually becoming the kurosian equivalent of boyfriend and girlfriend. Feuriah did have a major crush on Athrenna, but it was a love that came from a lifetime of admiration and respect. Wash Buckler, or Davey, came close to winning the Queen’s heart right before Kaos, as he was the only one to show her how love was really meant to work, but the Queen’s loyalty to her people’s ways not only forced her to go back to evil, but back to Kaos as well.

Feuriah probably wouldn’t like this news, but if her people came back and saw she was in love, she’d most likely be killed with Kaos, and her children (if they wanted to stay with the people) would have to be the ones to do it. If they refused, they would be banished. Or, depending on wether the Kuros found her loyalty worth considering, she’d be banished unless she revoked Kaos. Feuriah uses her ability to love to help aide her in continuing the ways of her people, but the Kuros before the fall wouldn’t understand.

  • Feuriah still loves and considers Cynder her daughter. I think that comes out of her character on the blog, but it can be confusing. When she banished Cynder, she wasn’t suppost to ever consider her a relation again. But she still does. She doesn’t show it, but it utterly crushed her to have to send Cynder away. She didn’t have the heart to carry out the real punishment Cynder would have gotten if the Kuros were still around; Cynder should have been killed for her betrayal. But the Queen couldn’t do it, so she found loopholes in the Kurosian law to banish her. She still found being loyal to her people was important, as she was raised by them and because of her (she feels it’s her fault in a way), her people were killed.

Havok and Hysteria have no issue staying true to the banishment since both of them hadn’t been born yet. They honor her banishment by not considering her a relation.

Feuriah can be a mess to understand, but I feel she should be like that especially with what happens during the Fall. The event was incredibly traumatic for her, and without her kind heart, she wouldn’t have survived the guilt. She’s not the kindest out there, but more kind than a normal Kuros would be, and I kept that in her character from the LoS version of her.

Apologies for the rant! I don’t really get a chance to delve into characters OOC like this, and Feuriah is probably the most complex of the characters. Yep, she’s a hypocrite, but there’s reasons why she feels the way she does.

Lost Queen, i noticed that Voteil has a last name? I wasn’t aware the Kuros had last names , or perhaps its because they don’t and that ‘Kuroghvok (Kuroghson? Son of Kurogh?’ means something else? Also does that mean Cynder would be known as Cynder KuroghInvel?

Lost Queen : Oh yes, we often do have last names. Males often have their sire’s name, not all the time full. Voteil took on his father’s name despite Kurogh’s protests, as he WAS his son. It’s a way of telling others who your sire is. Or, some may keep an ancestor’s name as their last name as it may be more iconic for other’s to remember. It’s up to the parents, or the child when they’re old enough, which parent to add as their last names. Sons tend to take their sire’s, while daughters took their dam’s.

If Cynder wanted, her last name could be Feur’invel, “Daughter of Feuriah”, but I think most just know her as the Lost Queen’s daughter by now. But I do not know if she willingly has a last name, let alone takes on her people’s traditions on naming.

There are other ways of spelling out ‘son’ and ‘daughter’, if the name does not flow well. Like with Havok, his last name already means “Last Son” in Kurosian (technically), having his name Kaosvok doesn’t flow well. So it’s translated into english, Havok Kaoson. Hysteria’s last name is “Feur’ivel”, with the n taken out, but still translates as “Daughter of Feuriah”. “Yinn” is also another word for Daughter, but used mostly for names rather than in normal conversation like “Invel”

finally got around to coloring Auros

these are my Skylander/Weirdlander fan Kuros c: Zero is a mixed Kuros while Auros is pure. I had this idea that Auros flew Zero’s egg to safety while the city was under attack -all other eggs had already been crushed, he had hidden Zero’s anyway because of its bright colors from the non-kuros genes-. He flew below the city down past the floating islands of Skylands to the very earth over a large dark colored desert nicknamed ‘The Chocolate Ocean’. There a giant serpent shot from the earth and attacked Auros biting off his wing and his arm -the other wounds he received trying to escape the city, the one on his face is a burn-.

After he killed the serpent he passed out from blood loss. A tribe of Mabu, never having seen or heard of a Kuros, dragged him into their village and kept him alive. He stayed in a coma for five weeks, all the while the egg was dormant until he woke up. Since then, Auros has lived peacefully with the Mabu tribe, working to repay them despite his disabilities. In secret he teaches Zero all about the Kuros while the Mabu speak of the Skylanders of old.

if you wanna know more I guess you can ask the characters themselves xD sorry if it’s poorly written. Been feeling a bit lazy here lately!

Celtic Fantasy Sleep Music – Caer | The Weaver of Dreams

OOC : Kurosian Mood Music, oh yes. After reading up a bit on Caer Ibormeith, basing the new Kurosian dream goddess off of her, I found this beautiful song and a new composer to listen to. I’ve been on a celtic kick when working on things, but when I found this I felt like sharing this find ;u;

Lost Queen : After Raigur’Ja’s passing, I spent more and more time dedicating myself on becoming Queen. I had little interest in lovers, and that carried on when I finally did become Queen. But, for different reasons. The way Kurogh and I worked, I was better at handling alliances, proposals, organizing events, all the inner workings of the kingdom while Kurogh was a brilliant war strategist, therefor he handled almost all of the warfare. It was heavily imbalanced, it left me with so much work I barely had any time to add in my thoughts on war, and it only got worse when I had Voteil and Malefor came to us.

However, Kurogh had many lovers. Thank the Spirits, because it gave me less time to have to deal with him. One thing I didn’t like, however, was his taste for the snake workers. Kurogh had a thing for naga women, but they didn’t have a thing for him. Many times I had to remind him of his honor when ‘teasing’ the women. One female… Dolly, I think her name was, once broke a vase on his snout in refusal to him, the ONLY naga to ever do that to Kurogh. He was about to snap her neck when I stepped in. Honestly I was impressed by Dolly’s boldness, I liked her.

Lost Queen : I remember the day he came from the Veil. He was massive, larger than any normal dragon, giving him the appearance of over a thousand years old, and the strength to prove it. He filled the city with the greatness of his power, his aura, stunning all that gazed upon him. He held himself in an unbridled confidence, like he truly believed he was what our people had been waiting for. A God. A new God to lead the remnants of our people to salvation and greatness.

When I first saw him, I was intimidated, but not for a single second did I believe he was what this prophecy claimed. He was no God, I saw it in his eyes. He cared not for our people, we were tools to him. Blind, worshipping tools he could bend to his will. He was a powerful dragon, but that was all; just, a dragon.
