I still personally don’t think I’m that good with snarling faces, I have a lot of studying to do on that. BUT, this is pretty much my thought process on them! I hope this helps! If you need any other specific visual aides I’ll be happy to draw them 😀
Wolf, dog, or lion snarls are the kinds of references I go to. With the teeth, I’ll often draw the cheekbone, jaw and muzzle as bones before finalizing the sketch above it.
