Wasn’t Kaos wearing his emperor outfit from Superchargers? Does it take place in the game timeline?

TLDR; He’s wearing that emperor outfit, but this isn’t really during Supercharger times as Superchargers have been around for a few years (Havok having an on and off again fling with Splat and other Supercharger ladies who haven’t developed grudges against the Empire/Kurosian Kingdom). It’s more of a cameo and to show he’s an older, more developed depiction verses his younger, MORE immature cloaked Kaos). Just summerizing cuz I kinda get into how Weirdlanders breaks away from canon Skylanders lore.

The way Superchargers melds with WL is merely with cameo type things, since if Feur was around during ‘The Darkness’ tricking Kaos she would have picked up that it was a parasite. He’s lying and developing a connection to Kaos to control him, latching onto his power to eventually control it when the Parasite had consumed enough. Feur would have killed it, Kuros knowing full well about this rare, and dangerous creature. They would be a species labeled for instant kill, something every Kuros had a duty to evoke. Kurosian Gods give this instinct to their dragons as they are meant to be the reigning control over Darkness, a mistake like that Parasite would need godly interference. 

Kaos already turned against his family before, fulfilling that character-developing arc and making him a better father by the time the parasite would come along. He’s protective of his empire and his family now that they’re quickly becoming the reigning evil influence of Skylands, nothing ‘The Darkness’ could offer would tempt him to destroy that. A young, family-less Kaos would eagerly take that opportunity, or a newly father type Kaos like he was in the Trap Team arc. But after that arc, and now in the most recent arc, Kaos wants to build an empire with Feuriah’s kingdom so it’s once more the true evil power of all realms again, Kurosian Gods or no, with his bloodline ruling the empire-side for generations to come. He’s older (in WL canon, I’d say he’s maybe 30+ years older than the Skylanders Academy or game canon Kaos’), and with his more ‘eternal’ partner he’s gained some insight in wanting to set roots in case something ever happens to him. Begging Feur every season to have more eggs to rule outposts in the future (Feur having had more children than a young queen normally would, especially after the circumstances. But she realizes humans are far more mortal than dragons so she’s complied, knowing all too well to enjoy things while they last for they could be taken away in a moment).

After Trap Team, Kaos upgrades his wardrobe for more official affairs (or when he wants to show off) and I’ve always liked it for him. I do eventually want to give him a more Kurosian like crown, but Kaos still refuses to call himself the King of Kurosia because he wants to be known as an Emperor sooooo I can at least see Feuriah refusing to make him a Kurosian crown. Their partnership (they aren’t married) is a melding of an Empire and a Kingdom to make a massive evil force to control the other dark collectives. So, keeping an emperor like crown like in Superchargers fits perfectly to me 😀 Cameos!

So, Feuriah, what was your perspective on what happened during the events of “Skylanders: Superchargers”?

OOC : Currently, I’m still kind of at a loss at how to incorporate Superchargers with Weirdlanders @n@’

BELOW I WILL BE DISCUSSING SPOILERS!!! So if you don’t want Superchargers spoiled, don’t read below this!

I have ideas, but the issues that I’m having mostly come down to Kaos’ character development, and how he’s changed so much in Weirdlanders compared to his canon self.

Of course in canon, Kaos doesn’t have a family and is still very much selfish (granted he DOES get a bit more development at the end of the game, but nothing like how he does in Weirdlanders). In Weirdlanders, he’s still more selfish than he should be, but after the events of Trap Team he’s gotten far more attached and protective of his family.

The whole thing with Weirdlander’s take on Trap Team is that Kaos, having been a family man for almost 20 years, wants to feel independence again like he used to. Him and Havok had been fighting due to Kaos’ jealousy of his own son’s appearance and capability, and things with Feuriah start to get on edge with him. So taking a break from homelife to seek out a plan all on his own, things of course backfire. Not only did his plan fail, but Feuriah is captured, Havok’s tail is cut off and Hysteria goes missing. When Wolfgang kidnaps him to use him as a time machine, Wolfgang thinks Havok died, therefor he rubs it in Kaos’ face. Due to that, and eventually seeing his son so ill due to his mistakes, Kaos grows as a character to realize that his actions had a devastating impact on his family. He grows to care less about himself and more about them.

For Superchargers, which for Weirdlanders would take place around 5 years later, Kaos would work closely with not only his family but the Doom Raiders that allied themselves with them. Since Kaos’ escape is different in WL (just going to say that instead of Weirdlanders from here xD), how he gets the sliver of Darkness is different, but I think they get ahold of it somehow, and the whole opening to Superchargers is the same. Only with Feur as Kaos’ Queen (still too stubborn to call herself an Empress), and the kids as important figureheads in ruling their new kingdom.

However the whole concept Superchargers has with The Darkness is where I run into issues. The Lost Queen knows Darkness is not sentient, it does not speak. That is why there are dark creatures born from it to be the sentient distributors. So the moment the Darkness would start talking, Feur would be onto him in a heartbeat. She’d know exactly what he REALLY is, and cut things off. The Darkness isn’t exactly what he claimed to be; rather, he’s nothing but a Parasite. In order to prevent the Queen from catching onto him, he would have to be sneaky with Kaos, talking only to him in order to convince him that if he works with him in secret, he could surprise his family with even more greatness. I think that’s where the conflict would be with Kaos; where he thinks he’s doing what’s best for his own family rather than just himself.

Still, with the involvement of the WL characters, a LOT would be different between the stories. Glumshanks would’ve not been fired, the Queen would never okay such a thing, though if anything, Kaos COULD ‘send him away on vacation’ if Glumshanks threatened to tell the Queen about The Darkness (in fear that Kaos is being tricked). Lastly, Kaos’ powers wouldn’t have been effected by this being, with the Darkness actually being a parasite and not the real darkness.

At least, this could change, but nothing’s really set in stone when it comes with Superchargers. As much as I enjoyed the game, it does pose quite a dosey when trying to incorporate it with WL xD That’s always an issue when making fan characters and stuff, no matter what you do, their involvement changes a LOT and in the end Superchargers won’t mesh as well with WL as Trap Team did. We’ll see, though! Eventually I’ll get around to it, but for now, I have PLENTY of other plots to tie up 8D

After playing the expansion that features Chef Pepper Jack as a boss in his own track, I really felt like drawing him ;u; I’ve been meaning for a long while to do a mock character sheet of my own take on him, but this will have to do for now!

Chef Pepper Jack, Dr.Krankcase and Luminous are still my favorite villain characters to come out of Trap Team, Buzz being my favorite NPC ;u; I love the idea that he was originally designed with a meat cleaver before the egg beaters, it makes him all the more intimidating >8D Still hoping to eventually draw him wielding it, one day, one day *shakes fist*

I actually base most of his anatomy on John Silver from Treasure Planet, as suggested by blackrosses, and even his personality resembles him a bit in the whole Weirdlanders verse.  Of course, I keep his design that MURCHIEMONSTER originally drew up (seen here), which I still very much love how crazy he looks! And lastly, I added a scar on the back of his neck as reference to his fight with Knight Light in issue #7 ( shown here ) 😀

I’ve wanted to show some love for most of the “NPCs”, as it were, who at this point have become like family in our home- for me, anyway.
I hope that one day I get the chance to meet at least a couple of the people behind Skylanders, and thank them for creating a world that’s brought me so much happiness and, even in tough times, a lot of comfort.

I love all of these guys and I can’t wait to tag along on their next adventure in Skylands! ❤

Superchargers is a wonderful addition to the series and I was thrilled
with the ending.

Superchargers DEFEATED!

WELL that took less time than I expected, but I actually beat Superchargers! 😀 

No worries, I have no plans on spoiling the game for anyone who hasn’t played it yet. All asks related to Superchargers plot will have to be put on hold for a month or so. I’ve got plenty of other asks and plots that will keep us busy till then 8D That… and I’m actually stuck on how to relate Weirdlanders with this plot! For now, I do have ideas, buuuut we’ll see.

Without spoiling anything, I will say that I REALLY liked this game! It was a very pleasant surprise how much I loved it. The car aspect was slightly distracting, but the game plot handled it in a way that made it all very fun. Gameplay wise the cars controlled pretty well. Plotline… again, not spoiling anything specifically, but I LOVED how dark things got. For a kids game I loved the darker elements they put in, and even the silly parts had both my husband and I, a 25 and a 26 year old, cackling like hyenas. Especially Kaos’ parts near the end, I LOVED the humor!

Drawbacks? Yeah, I actually have some things I didn’t like about the game sadly. But not much, nit picky things since this game has SO much more meat to it after you beat the story. 

It’s more of a worry, I guess. I haven’t gotten the Golden Queen expansion pack (or as I call, DLC packs, w/e), I can’t say for sure, but I hope all the upcoming DLC packs aren’t just racing related. Racing was fun, sure, but I absolutely LOVED the packs that Trap Team came up with! Each one had an interesting little plot, some I even went back to and played over and over again (the mirror of mystery one was my fav x,D). I really hope the same for Superchargers, to give us some more plot snacks to last us another year until the next one is released.

Lastly, I feel is perhaps good on my wallet x,D As much as I loved Supercharger designs, there actually aren’t a lot of characters I’m dying to get this time around. No new dragons so far… that’s really disappointing. There’s still a few I REALLY want, but none that I’m going to flip tiddies over getting like I did with Knight Light or Blackout, etc. 

But, in the end, I freaking LOVED THIS GAME GUYS HOLY SHIT. Vicarious Visions did not disappoint at all, they did an amazing job with this game and jebus it was a blast. I’m pretty happy with the character development they did with Kaos, it wasn’t MUCH, but it was development that I enjoyed. I even want to play the story mode again, something I haven’t done in a Skylanders game yet! There’s so much more to do too, and I greatly look forward to it ;u;

Fiesta, the newest member of my Skylanders family, Team Total Kaos! I am in love with Superchargers, and this guy is a joy to play.

I’ve been slacking off on Skylanders art ‘cause of it being such a busy year, and I feel really bad about that. So, I’ve had lots of inspiration with the newest installment ( especially since my favourite character has returned; no spoilers!!! )! ❤

Welp, after seeing the gameplay for Superchargers….

Yep, I’m excited for it. I wasn’t hyped on the cars aspect at first but the racing looks REALLY fun and now that it’s online, I can challenge some of you peeps to kick your booties! >:D Only time will tell if I fully love this game or not, but now I’m way more excited for it than I was before~
