Lost Queen : Feeling antsy already, but it won’t be too much longer now. I’m eager to fly and fight again, but I better wait until I don’t have to waddle everywhere. Until the egg is here, Jack’s been helpin’ me cope with my rather… un-queenly food choices >n> Somehow, I have finally grossed Kaos out with some of my favorites.

Allus are one of the smallest breeds, but the most common breed. They are one of the most adaptable since they’re able to carry other cross breed traits the easiest. But they also adapt to environments quicker than other breeds, like in Raigur’Ja’s case. The Allus from his realm have a unique look to their skales/bodies given the harsh winds.

They also were the ones that gave the other breeds colored markings, though most have simple black markings or just spots.

They’re a bit of a strange breed themselves, I tried to make them really easy to customize too 🙂

Baltimor’s egg was found amongst a rocky, trickling stream. Nanna found the egg herself, plucking it from the earth as if it had grown there. She thought it was merely a rock in the shape of an egg, and as it had been many years since she heard the pitter patter of tiny claws in her home, she found it to be a sweet little gift from the forest. Little did she know, it was no rock. One quiet dinner with her Earth Guardian husband Klaudious, the rock suddenly began to jerk and roll around. It fell from the shelf Nanna had placed it on, and upon hitting the ground, it split open. In a rush of earthy smelling water and mossy like goop, a baby dragon flopped from the broken rock egg.

Klaudious assumed they had merely been mistaken that the rock was really an egg, and took in the whelp as their own. Not really asking the questions they should; they accepted him with open wings.

The Earth Guardian’s family is big, however they aren’t related to Terrador. Klaudious’ line comes from a more earthy, rock based clan where Terrador comes from a clan of dragons who were connected to nature moreso than the rock and dirt. Baltimor is a mix of both in a sense, but has no real blood relations. He’s more like Spyro, another dragon line born without parent, but genetically they’re not related.

  • (many others, above most notorious)

Major Element : Aura
Minor Element : Fear
Profession : Silent Widow ( Sàmh’Bann )
Patron Gods :

  • Mahoura the All-Mother (Aura based)
  • Bruja’Hiem (God of Revenge & Grudges)

Abilities : Elaida didn’t have a breath, instead her Aura could have area effects. Completely invisible, her aura had the ability to infect others with a sense of impending doom, dread, paranoia and a sickening wave of fear. Elaida was used in combat, interrogations, torture, political meetings, etc. so her influence could be used. She was able to control when her aura would infect, and those who were infected feel a sharp sudden sting in their heart; where the Aura is most tethered.

Personality : Cold, distant, leery, and controlling. However Elaida was known for barely speaking; talking only when she had to. When she did, she carried a deep, eerie voice that reminded many of bones rattling together. Elaida used her abilities to punish her offspring, and shape them into emotionless soldiers. She was highly manipulative, and mentally abusive to those that dared to try and befriend her. She trusts no other but herself, and near the end of her life grew more and more demanding of honor from her children after Maeldun sires a Cnámhdubh, or black boned Kuros. Fearing her name would be overshadowed, she instilled this fear into all of her offspring.

History : Elaida was a bizzare dragon growing up, being very fearful of everyone and everything. She was afraid of even trying to use her element, leaving her nearly ‘elementless’ until her fourth year, when she was expected to begin attending training/schooling. When forced to present something, she was heckled for her shyness. Out of shame and embarrassment, she imagined herself biting him and every other dragon who laughed. The class quickly erupted in screams of panic and fear. Upon realizing her abilities, instead of coming clean with them, Elaida began to use this for revenge and getting what she wanted.

The little aura dragon was quickly found out, however, and taken to the Kurosian capital to attend Aura training at Mahoura’s temple. Away from all family and the quiet forest village she was born in, Elaida was even more fearful, but was punished severely when she would attempt to use it on her fellow Kuros. After decades of rigorous training and reshaping, the dragoness began work for the King and Queen as a Sàmh’Bann. Or, Silent Widow, an Aura dragon without breath abilities specialized into units.

Even though she could control her Aura gifts, she had to be smart about how she’d use it. Never letting go of the ease of manipulating others with fear, paranoia, and dread to get the things she wanted, Elaida did it as long as she didn’t infect the wrong dragons. Those that would remember or notice the sting, she couldn’t infect, or had to be smart with how she infected. It was a dangerous game to play, but Elaida was cunning, and earned a high position in the court, with plenty of contracts, land, and wealth.

That is, until Asiirha was born. Maeldun had been the sire of her last clutch, whom all held important titles in the court, but him fathering a black bone struck a chord with Elaida. She became seethingly jealous, and demanded more of her own children to compete with Asiirha’s near impossible status. The son that seemed to take this the most personally, was Kurogh. Having grown up with his mother’s fears, seemed to sense this competition and fight the hardest to win; even striving to be King himself. However, his many losses in battle shamed him more and more, and when Elaida died whilst on a mission that failed, she passed disappointed in him. Something Kurogh never let go, either.

Trivia :

  • Despite actively being in wars and battles, Elaida hated fighting. She relied too much on her abilities that when her attacker would suddenly panic, they were even more difficult to fight. Incidents like this cost her her left arm and wing. She retreated further into the court side of the professions in hope to escape her possible death. The scars on her neck were the final straw, until her final mission forced by the King and Queen.
  • The metal on her nose was melted onto her scales; she was not born with it. It’s a fashion choice. When she lost her wing she kept the remaining wing membrane to creep out others as it would wilt and tatter with age.
  • Has no tail spade or breath, something she was extremely sensitive about. She also has poor eyesight compared to most dragons, refusing to get glasses or seek magics to correct them.
