The God Twins: Zo and Tha

Zo__ 

Bringer of Light, Life, and Instinct. A mysterious being that is said to be the guardian of all things positive in the Realms, both physical and temporal, and a secondary escort of lost souls.

Tha__ 

Bringer of Dark, Dreams, and Thought. A mysterious being that is said to be the patron of scholars, dreamers and thinkers. Also serves as a secondary escort of lost souls. 

Whether or not they both serve as a guardians remains to be seen.

Zo and Tha are viewed as both gods and flawed, mortal beings by the Dunewyrms, and are the only gods that they ‘worship.’ There are no altars or rituals, only a few tomes that recount their role throughout all sentient known history, and neither demand the Dunewyrms believe only in them. Zo and Tha are a mysterious pair that many outside of the Dunewyrm people have seen, and are even represented with other gods in other cultures besides the Kuros. The Kuros view them as demigods, counting Tha as a close ally of and one of the few beings who can ‘speak’ to Breithonakt. (Whether or not this is true still remains to be seen.) On the opposing side, the Chroma celebrate and paint Zo in a similar fashion, calling them a demigod and claiming Zo can speak to their gods.

The Dunewyrms call them many things: The Twins, The Siblings, Two Halves, and sometimes combine them into two as ‘Zotha.’ The only lesson the twins have imparted to their ‘chosen children’ is that all beings have the ability to commit acts of good and evil, and that while some are born of light and others of darkness, having too much will destroy the precarious balance. Zo and Tha were once tasked with upholding that balance, but have disappeared for many millennia from mortal affairs. Since then, the Dunewyrms have taken up this task, though whispers among their contested territories and through their trade routes have spread through the Realms that someday, the twins may return….

MOD: So these two were actually bought about a year+ ago off of FurAffinity. I saw them and they just sort of….called to me. Over time I let them tell their story, and through them the story of the Dunewyrms.

I’m gonna be working on the Dunewyrms reference in the next couple of weeks+month, but there’s some hint about where their story is going in the bits I’ve put up here with the twin gods!!! Their forms are also ever changing so the original designs made by wo7f won’t stay the exact same.

I’ve wanted to depict a Skydance instead of vomiting up words describing them, but it still proved a bit difficult to get down the way I had it in my head xnx’ Rjunhuld, the sky within the Kurosian capital is a constant storm of dark clouds from the Veil, but it can still appear like a sky as Breithonakt allows glimpses of other dimensions of skies; often showing dimensions where the Gods reside. When Kuros Skydance, they can manipulate wind currents to form celtic knot like patterns in the sky, even giving the winds color with magic or their auras. Depicting this was, very much, a challenge 8,D

BUT I very much like how this turned out! Thank you Emocatdragon for the commish, it was very, very fun to work on ;u;
