Havok : Honestly I wanted to be sarcastic with this, probably retort about my brother Viril or a few of my other friends. But I realized I rarely talked about my Stormee, and I really should talk about her more…

I’ve known Stormee since we were kids, and even in the beginning I felt no urge to be mean to her or bully her (which, when I was a kid, was like the only thing I did to others. I still kinda do that, but now I’m a threat). She was really fun to hang out with, and she came up with the best prank ideas. Hell, she made Eruptor vomit rainbows! 

Eventually her parents found we were hanging out, which obviously didn’t sit well with them. We still hung out from time to time behind their backs, as my parents didn’t care all that much. But As time wore on our interests ended up splitting us apart; I wanted to become a serious villain, and she a skylander. So for years we didn’t see each other, that was until we were both late teenagers. We ended up hitting it off like old times, but it took us till it was too late to realize that we were falling in love with each other. 

We both didn’t take it well at first; it’s obvious our relationship wouldn’t work. We tried our best to fight it and just be friends, but nothing we did could prevent it. I tried chasing more females, but I found that they were starting to bore me. I missed Stormee’s laugh, her humor, her spazzy personality, so I ended up going to her simply for her company. Hell it took till I was in my early twenties till I gave up the fight and admitted I had been smitten, and stopped chasing other women. I embraced it while she had a more obvious reason to be weary; she was moving up in the Skylander world. So we kept our love a secret, well as secretive as we could. 

So, yeah, eventually I do get a ‘special friend’. It takes me a while to stop making mistakes by her to learn what love really is, and be only with her. So my usual asks are probably more from my younger… more promiscuous self, back when I was still naive enough to think love was below me. But hey, who could resist that snake like speech impediment and haunting laugh?

Lost Queen : I have plenty of good memories, but they didn’t truly start until this moment. After I had seen the Queen, the very first Kuros I had ever met. That day was the greatest of my life, I was finally free from all the hatred I had grown up knowing, and I was finally accepted. I was taken to a place that cared about me, wanted me. But I still remember this memory with vivid detail, for the Queen had always such a huge impact on my life. She was my role model, the REASON I strove to become Queen, to be just like her. Meeting her for the first time lead to a life of happiness and acceptance…of course, until Malefor attacked, but still.

The Vultures

The Vultures are a strange species created by Hysteria when she was a child in attempt at making dependable minions. She gathered leftovers from her meals, pushing the pieces together and using her portal master abilities to bring them life. Although they are technically chimeras, she refers to them as ‘her vultures’, as every single chimera is made using a bearded vulture’s head and other species’ parts. In the beginning, she creates three main vultures; Vayn, Envii, and Skorn. However when she’s older, she begins to create more and more, eventually allowing them to breed until she has a full army. But the three main become her generals, with Vayn being her second in command.

The vultures praise Hysteria as their deity, for she brought them life and feeds them power. In turn, making them dangerously loyal to her. They each have a magical link to her, ensuring that not one would defy her, working almost like a brain-washing spell. If one shows even the slightest bit of resilience to Hysteria, they are either beaten by the other vultures, or killed. 

Vayn
Species : Bearded Vulture, Gryphon, Crocodile
Sex : Male
Description : Vayn was the first of Hysteria’s vultures to be born, and the most loyal to her. He follows her every step, and listens to her orders to a T. Everything he does is in Hysteria’s interest. Hiss does like this, however he easily gets on her nerves for being too clingy.

Envii
Species : Bearded Vulture, Striped Hyena
Sex : Female
Description: Over-zealous, but still loyal. Envii does what her goddess tells her to do, but will most likely end up killing her target instead of capturing them, or becomes too distracted with the kill to listen to orders. Envii is very aggressive and easy to tempt into fighting. While she’s the most lethal of the vultures, her enthusiasm is her fault.

Skorn
Species : Bearded Vulture, Panther, Mule Deer
Sex : Male
Description : Skorn is often found sleeping and sun bathing when he isn’t following Hysteria’s orders. He can be seen as lazy, but when he’s given a goal, he’s dangerously attentive. He’s the quietest out of the three main vultures, but will aid in Envii’s games to tease Vayn.

Trivia

  • Hysteria’s vultures were, as is most things with me, inspired by a song. Delain’s newest album, The Human Contradiction, had been released, and upon listening to the first song I decided that not only would the lead singer Charlotte Wessels be adult Hysteria’s voice, but her minions would be gryphon vultures. The first song off of their CD is called “Here Come The Vultures”, which I can without a doubt visualize Hysteria singing.
  • Vayn was then inspired by the gryphon from the awful movie nobody should ever see called “Quest to Camelot”, as well as my love of gryphons.
