Rashida
Age – Unknown, but younger than December by a few decades
Gender – Female
Breed of Wolf – Bloodpelt, smaller breed of wolf that usually have a blood color to their fur. Very aggressive by nature.
Personality – Incredibly aggressive and violent. Rashida is known among the pack as someone to avoid and never confront. She always appears angry and looking to vent her anger on someone. Always alone and prefers it that way, but her loyalty knows no bounds. She sticks by December’s side and looks up to her, and while she doesn’t idolize Niko nearly as much, she obeys every word he utters in respect to December.
History – Rashida was one of the many wolves in the Pit. Despite her smaller size compared to the other champions, her aggressive battle tactics and ability to withstand massive amounts of pain stacked her as one of the most sought after wolves. Rashida attempted to escape with a small pack of wolves, however her pack was caught and all but her were killed as punishment. The failure devastated her, and it’s said that ever since, Rashida never latched onto another person, and instead became hollow and unfathomably violent towards anyone who attempted to come close.

Rashida was eventually pitted against December, and for the first time, Rashida was defeated. December’s master quickly bought Rashida, and after the older female had beaten her, Rashida respected her greatly. Soon after, December’s pack escaped, and Rashida nervously followed.

December
Age – Unknown, but is considered an older female among the wolves
Gender – Female
Breed of Wolf – Alpha, apex of the wolf species. The largest, strongest, and tankiest of the breeds.
Personality – Quiet but regal, December is highly respected in her pack. She is by far the largest of them, and is known as an Alpha wolf (alpha wolves are larger than others, and thought to be stronger). Though she comes off as mean and intimidating, December is caring and protective if one takes the time to get to know her. She is more than able to knock anyone and everyone on their rumps with little effort.
History – December was born and raised in the Pits. Bred from other Alpha wolves, December was taken from her mother shortly after birth and sold. Unlike most wolves in the Pits, this hurt December growing up, and she longed for motherly love. Though she never found it, she was known for being loving towards her fellow wolves that her Master owned. December had a knack for fighting in the pits, and she quickly rose to the top of the ranks. She was bought and sold many times, and eventually, she was bred. Her first litter, like her mother’s, was taken away right after she gave birth to them. In attempt to stop them from taking her puppies, she attacked her Master. While this would usually warrant a wolf to be put down, December was far too valuable to kill, so instead her Master tore her left eye out and burned the socket with silver to prevent the eye from growing back.

December was bred many more times, and was restrained to stop her from attacking anyone who tried to take the puppies. Eventually, she gave birth to a small runt, and her master was unable to sell her. He allowed December to care for her, and while her Master named her November, she gave her daughter the nickname ‘Jacklynn’ instead of a pit name.

A decade passed as December was eventually pitted against Rashida, a very empty, ruthless fighter. December took her down with ease, but her Master ordered her to stop from killing her. Instead, he bought Rashida for a large sum, and she was accepted into the caged pack. As she had been the first to beat her, Rashida respected December, and after years of watching the giant wolfess care for her child, she opened up to December about her failed escape. As both wolves had attempted something unthinkable in the Pits, and suffered greatly as punishment, the two females grew to be unbreakable friends.

As November grew into a young adult, her Master soon revealed what purpose he had kept her for. November was soon used as a bait wolf for his lesser, inexperienced pit fighters to practice on.

December became enraged. During a training session, December broke free of the pit and managed to kill her own Master. Quickly, she freed all of her Master’s wolves, and she led them into the night before anyone realized what had happened.

Now free, December became the Alpha of a very large pack of experienced pitfighters. None of them could live normal lives, but they quickly came across a strange Werebeast named Nikolios who offered to give them a high purpose. In time, December agreed, and her pack was enlisted into The Black Swords.

Nikolios VanDarkk
Age – Unknown
Gender – Male
Breed of Wereyena – Spotted
Personality – Niko is rumored to be thousands of years old, yet he acts as if he was in his late twenties. He gives off the aura of an experienced, impeccably skilled fighter with a flare of deserved cockiness. Niko is fluently charming and is very hard to anger, but he’s loyal to his pack and stays focused on the Hunt. If anything or anyone stands in his way of the Hunt, Niko flips a switch, and won’t hesitate to eliminate any obstacle.

Yet despite his upbeat personality, there is always a hint of tiredness about him. He’s a man that knows that his entire purpose is to kill Gods that continue to return and will always return, but if he gave up, who would keep them down?

History – Not too much is known, but Niko was born into the culture of The Black Swords. His parents were both Cursed and lived by the blade, and he saw battle with the terrifying Yehkshir up close when he was very young. He knew his purpose as a child, and trained hard to follow in his family’s footsteps. When he came of age, Niko accepted the Curse to keep him nearly immortal.

One fateful Hunt, his family clan took on their prey Olfur, Yahvii, when she tricked them into an ambush that killed his entire family. Lucky to have escaped, Niko was the last of the VanDarkks, and had to find a new clan to help him in the Hunt. After hundreds of years in search, Niko eventually came across a pack of escaped Pitfighters, who had no chance in living normal lives. Niko took pity on them, and offered them all a chance to aide him in killing Gods. Their leader, December, accepted, and Niko had his pack.

In time, Niko found himself growing close to the abrasive December. He spent countless years charming her between Hunts, but she refused his advances time and time again. However, during a battle with a Yehkshir, Niko was struck with a cursed blow to his eye. Fearing that the blow had killed him, December slayed the Goddess and rushed to his side, howling in grief. Niko waited until she admitted she held feelings for him before ‘waking’ up. Though he suffered a beating for it, he eventually teased her that ‘now they had to be mates, because they needed to be each other’s eyes.’ December couldn’t help but laugh, and they became mates.

Bound by Blood And Fate

Kurogh – Hunger
Kurogh was a dragon of power, of fear, of emptiness. He strove for recognition when his brilliance wasn’t noted, and it drove him down a path with no end. He was Kurosia’s greatest Warlord, but that wasn’t enough for him. He became King, but that wasn’t enough. He sired a Seuth, and still it was not enough. Forever hungry for greatness, it was that hunger that destroyed him and his people.

Avelyn – Cinders
A child of tragedy and luck, the sole survivor of Kurogh’s bloodline. Out of the large clutch of six eggs, it was her egg that was picked. Her egg that was stolen in afterthought. Raised in Darkness that her people fought to control and regulate, she was given the degrading name, the mocking name, of “Cynder” as she was the last embers of a dying race. Despite her upbringing, she fights to make a new name for her people, even if it turned her against them.

Voteil – Failure
Soothsayer, one of heart. A child so young, one that could not even comprehend the horrors shown onto him. He tried so desperately to save at least one egg, one sibling, but he had failed. Taken, broken, left in snow. He did not escape with his sister, but he did save her from death. His guilt haunts him, leaves the poor child to wonder the castle to watch over his family until Bhailiu’s wings carries him to the Veil.

Feuriah – Lost
Queen born in hate, reborn in blood and ash. Wanting so desperately to follow in Athrenna’s footsteps, Feuriah fought hard to protect what the past Queen had worked so hard to keep balanced. Yet fate refused to acknowledge her sacrifices, despite her loyalty, her true heart. Born with purpose, to be a savior, only to lose everything in betrayal. A mother with more dead that living. A Queen with no people, A Queen broken and shattered, A Queen lost.

It’d be cool if they had a sibling who was even more draconic than Havok. Like a full dragon, but with human hands/feet, and maybe missing his tail completely.

OOC : That’s pretty much Rocoto, haha! Though an almost pure-blooded Kuros offspring has crossed my mind design wise too, or a closer draconic offspring/even more human bab. I hadn’t sat down to even attempt to design the kid since I wasn’t quite feeling that Kaos and Feur would have a third kid. I won’t scratch it out completely, maybe they could eventually, but for now I have SO many storyplots to develop as is O_O’’’

OOC: I like the idea of Hiss having a rival baby brobro. Them trying to get rid of each other reminds me of the Olivia cartoon- Olivia would always try shipping her brother Ian out of the country if she wasn’t trying to do anything independently.

OOC : Lmfao I like the idea too, but I don’t think I’ll ever go thru with it. Maaaybe, maybe not x,D I’m not sure what Olivia is, but the way I keep thinking about it is like the old Tom and Jerry skits, though not AS silly. Maybe Itchy and Scratchy/Tom and Jerry like x,D

If you were to design a third child for Feur and Kaos, what would you make them? Male or female? More dragon or human?

OOC : I have thought about it, but I think I’m sticking to just two babs for them. But when I was debating on giving them another, it was either going to be twin boys, or just one lil boyo.

I never worked out what he’d look like, but he was going to be a selective mute and rival Hysteria. Their shtick was pretty much Hiss constantly attempting to get rid of her younger sibling, and vise versa, without either parents noticing.

OOC: What ages typically mark anything significant for Kurosians? Like, do they begin receiving “significant education” at age 5, or, say, do they enter puberty at age 16? I’ve got a headcanon that they enter a sort of puberty at age 20-ish and it ends about 30’s.

OOC : Pretty much depends on the family. If they’re military based, they can start training as young as three. The orphanages usually branch education out depending on the child and their interests, or if they don’t know what to do, they go to public schools until they decide. Some families allow their children to choose their own paths of education, while more stubborn families will control where their offspring go and what they become.

Kuros can’t reproduce until they hit anywhere from 25-35 years old, so you’re close! However most won’t actually try out for breeding contracts until they’re past 100 or so, they usually want to make a name for themselves and earn a place before having offspring.
