Random thought that you’ve probably already had but what if an albino Kuros is basically a Light dragon? And the Light dragon reverse, a dark coloured child, is a Kuros? Usually the two species have nothing to do with each other but sometimes this happens by magic/whim of the gods/etc? I’ve sort of been kicking this idea around in the back of my mind for awhile and there’s more to it, assuming any of it even works within your lore. XD

OOC : I have such a hard time trying to think of what to really do with the Light Dragons. I have ideas, but nothing that’s really stuck with me or strikes me as fitting for the world Kurosia is based in. Kuros/Kurosia all started with Cynder’s appearance, the armor in DotD, stuff like that, but I’ve really liked the idea of the Kuros lore being able to stand outside the LoS/Skylanders lore too. Personally, I love working with villains WAY more than good guys, so it’s not helping either x,D I’ve noticed that I just love to make things that people thought were good turn out twisted and bad (Warfang), while those that are evil and dark have so much more dignity and collection. I know very well aspects of my life effects this greatly, but it does make designing/creating the light dragons difficult without turning them into monsters -_-

I feel that should be the case, that the Light Dragons are the Kuros, but their opposite, and are hidden away in their own Veil while the Kuros took foot on land past their Veil. Like the time Mahoura was born, she had a Light sister (Aruoham would be a funny name, ahahaha x,D) who instead of finding a place in the mortal world, left for the heavens and developed her light there while Mahoura fought to balance whatever her sister came up with. That or like… I kind of like the idea that Mahoura birthed a Light Yekhshir to bring balance to the worlds, thinking “Light is birthed from Darkness”. I DUNNO, but I agree with you in that the Kuros and the Light Dragons would have nothing to do with each other unless it was the work of the Gods, or yeah, magic of some kind x,D

A weird idea I had (oui no pun intended), was that if an albino Kuros was born, the child would be taken to a temple on the very outreaches of the Kurosian Mountains. There, a creature similar to Bhailiu would take the child to the Light Dragons, thinking that the child belonged with them and not the Kuros. As if like, albino Kuros have the ability to become Light Dragons, or Kuros. I’m not so sure a;sldkfja;sldkfj

Are Albino Kuros possible? What about an Albino Yehkshir? What sort of belief would surround them, and I feel like an Albino Olfur would probably be some sort of demon goddess in the Kuros culture.

OOC : You know, they used to be! But I kept running into issues with them linking up to lore and how that would work, yadda yadda. I do get this ask a LOT actually, but have yet to find a solid way of answering it. I have a few theories linked to whatever the Light Dragons could be, but again, nothing set in stone. I’m VERY scatterbrained and lawd, I never expected the Kuros to develop like they have.

Hi there! I know you said that halfbreeds were not allowed to live in Kursiona as they were seen as “non-Kuros”, however, I was lead to believe that the Kuros were on good terms with the Pyros? (Fear dragons) and that sometimes arranged marriages would happen between them. Would the offspring of such a pair be able to live in Kurosia? and would they be able to participate in breeding, festivities etc? I guess they would be called Kyros? lol (Oh look, a new fan-breed XD)

OOC : It depends on the parents of the halfbreeds, actually. Within Kurosian society, a lot of the warlords and other high-ranked Kuros were often married out with breeding contracts to allied forces to ensure loyalty between them. Half-breeds, depending on who their parents were, were accepted by the people. Though, many could look down at them for being only half-kuros. With a society so proud of themselves, a halfling could be sneered at by many. Those aware of the importance of the alliance wouldn’t, like other warlords or those that rub elbows with the royals, other more common perhaps not so much. It’s mostly an unfortunate situation for the offspring, unless they prove themselves incredibly smart, useful, etc. to warrant respect.

Aahahaha Kyros! All of my yes 8D another really good example of this system shows up with the Umbracorns, which @spookoofins and I are still developing in more detail ^u^

Not much changed for Feur when she became Brokt, except she was much bulkier! Bet the girl could tear down a mountain XD Noticed that her Brokt and Shire forms are the only ones where she has her fangs poking out. Is there a reason behind that?

OOC : Hehe yee, honestly I didn’t feel Feuriah would change all that much, I did take some liberties to change her for the breed but not by much. The fangs were just a design choice for funsies. 😀

Hello Weird! I was just curious if you had any maps of the Kurosian mountains, and possibly of the layout of Kurosia city. :3 I have a hankerin’ to attempt at fan art.

OOC : My greatest artistic weakness is architecture, and though I have not given up getting better with it, I know for sure there is no way I can properly express how I imagine Kurosian buildings to really look like. The best I’ve been able to do is link examples, and although I never found one that was exactly what I imagined for Kurosia, I’ve found MANY that come close.

The posts where I’ve talked and shown visuals of Kurosia can be found here.

To describe it, the Kurosian city is MASSIVE. Flying into it, you can look both ways and just see a sea of buildings, homes, temples, stadiums, colleges, parks, etc. It’s the central, most important city, so it’s almost unfathomably huge. Even looking down from the castle, you barely see the whole city.

The city slow rises up like a hill, and in the distance, you can see the castle looming high over the city as if perched on a ledge, and although there’s docks at the very entrance to the city for trade, the castle has it’s own docks as well.

The way the buildings are built aren’t like normal buildings, since they’re mostly for dragons, many visitors that don’t have wings often have to wear special enchanted things to keep themselves from suffering vertigo. The buildings have ledges and stops for dragons to fly to and from.

Since there is no real sky, the sun never beats down on Kurosia, so the city is often in hues of purples, deep blues, greens, and rarely oranges. The sky that hangs over Kurosia is thought as special and holy to the people, and it has it’s own biome behaviors for summer, fall, winter and spring. The weather outside of the Veil is often different, and if there weren’t catacombs leading out of Kurosia, most think that it’s in a dimension of it’s own. The mountain surrounding the city is incredibly cold all year round, since the city is on the highest peak of the mountain.

The Kurosian Mountains themselves are the equivalent of the Rocky Mountains. Kurosia is found in the middle, but the mountains spread out across a massive amount of lands forming an almost octopus formation. This I can probably doodle one day, as the mountains themselves have many empty kurosian villages and cities speckled acrossed it, as well as civilizations of other dark, evil beings like the Umbracorns. There are countless lakes, and rumors of deep, deep underground seas.

I uh, hope that helps! Honestly though, I don’t mind creative liberties taken even if there was solid references of Kurosia!

OOC : The very, VERY, first doodles of Feuriah back in early 2009.

I remember there being at least another page, but due to the limited space in our apartment, most of my books are still packed away in the closet, and shifting through to the other stacks would take a lot of work. Maybe one day.

When I was originally designing her, I did want her to look like Cynder (for obvious character reasons), but little did I know that I was also, at the time, designing my new Scalesona. I didn’t know what furries were back then, but as I made Feuriah I added in aspects and colors I really enjoyed. Long, curvy horns, lots of frills, etc. Looking at these now, she has Voteil’s little chin horns x,D

Characters come a long, LONG way. When I get my hands on more sketches, I’ll definitely post the ones of Feuriah. Most of the other characters were first doodled in the actual comic (Baltimor was never really planned to be a character, but he grew on me x,D), especially Acerbus, who was actually female in the first page he was shown in.
